Re: Jalin Moore Waived

I talked to Jalin today. He is still working and hoping for NFL. He feels fine. it's the doctors that are saying otherwise. Problem is the teams will rely on the doctors 100% of the time. He's still hopeful, but understands what is happening. He had scouts telling him late second round at the lates...

Re: FALL 21 QB?

Both Huesman and DBG should be able to get on the field vs Morgan State I’d imagine. If I’m Shawn though I would possibly have a conversation with Huesman prior to the year telling him to not be surprised if it’s DBG that gets the nod in most of the mop up time. There’s no game I’ve wanted to win m...

Re: AppState Football fan safety survey

This right here is why several states are currently spiking & a second wave is likely. It's not about your personal comfort level with contracting the virus. If it was, nobody would care if you put yourself at risk of getting sick and potentially dying. COVID is highly contagious, and asymptomatic ...

Offense - Marcus Williams Jr.
Defense - Ryan Huff
It would not shock me if Huff and/or Ross along with Hampton and/or Jackson all end up on the All-SBC teams. All of those guys clearly have big time talent to be stars in the SBC.

Re: AppState Football fan safety survey

It’s time to get back to normal. Hold the games allowing anyone to attend that chooses to. If you don’t feel comfortable or are a high risk person then don’t go and watch on TV. This right here is why several states are currently spiking & a second wave is likely. It's not about your personal comfo...

I felt like Charles had a pretty good year and showed he should be an All-SBC guy for sure. I actually thought he was snubbed last year. I love Harrington's speed.

Re: Break out player for 2020?

Offense: either Peoples, Harrington, or Anderson, and Virgil. Whoever is RB #2 should be All-SBC and I feel like Virgil is ready for a breakout. If he has an All-SBC year and puts up like 700+ yards and 6-10 TD type season I would even expect him to get drafted because of his size/speed combo. Defen...

Re: FALL 21 QB?

I'm not a big fan of a 2QB system. I've seen it work in a few cases but more often, it seems to just keep the offense out of rhythm. Situational use of QBs seems to just show your hand about what you're about to do. It's possible but I would be surprised to see App commit to a real 2QB system....at...

Re: FALL 21 QB?

Second 94's post, and I'll add that barring something unforeseen this fall, we likely won't even begin to sort out who the '21 starter will be until at least next spring. Not much you can really learn with two of the possible candidates holding clipboards this year and the other two still in high s...

Re: FALL 21 QB?

It would not surprise me to see us use multiple QBs for situational instances for the first few games. We have done it before and it can work, especially if they have different skill sets. I'm not a huge fan of it though so I hope we have a true #1. Like you said, it can take a few games to figure ...

Re: 247 Preseason Top 25

I chirped Bud Elliot about not even receiving votes on Twitter and he did respond. Said these were more “power rankings” than the traditional top 25. Also said he didn’t believe we should have finished in the top 20 last year, he and a lot of the 247 guys put a lot of stock into the schedule, and i...

Re: Street & Smith's Feature on App

Personally, I do not believe Coach Clark's message should be we are talented enough to win 11 games. This message says you are not good enough that you will two of the games. The message to the the team is that we have an opportunity to win EVERY game and it begins in the off-season on a daily basi...

Re: Pat Dye: He Once Called Us a Sleeping Giant

Just to make sure you get what I meant is that we have been the only one to enter so far. Obviously, we can't sit on the last few years and must keep the train going. We definitely have to keep the train going. We just need to keep winning and the AAC will eventually come calling. I don't know when...

Re: Street & Smith's Feature on App

Make sure to pick it up. Just got one and they have a story calling us "Boise State of the East? in there. Good read. Winning clearly provides this type of coverage that even the best AD is not going to be able to buy. Athlon has us picked to lose to Louisiana. I mean maybe they do beat us but they...

Re: Pat Dye: He Once Called Us a Sleeping Giant

Winning on a consistent basis is not going to get us an invite to the AAC. Our budget is paltry compared to that of the successful athletic programs in the AAC. We need more money through ticket sales, donations and other revenue streams outside of student fees. We are isolated, geographically spea...
