Re: App vs S Alabama Post Game Thoughts
Coach Drink (Head coach) was satisfied with the win but (OC) wasn't really pleased with the offensive performance. Anyone who watched the game understands why. Zac definitely took a while to get going....was off in the first quarter. I was wondering whether an 11:00 am kick-off and the heavy rain b...

I will certainly be there! If today's game had been later in the day I would have been tuners too. Hard to drive 11 hours for a noon EST start.

Re: Troy v Ga State
Shawn Elliott is having himself a year! I'll pull for GaSt against anyone else in the SB until we go down there to remind Elliott what real App State football looks like!

Re: Top 25 Watch (real thread)
We’ll jump Texas, maybe Wisconsin but it will be close. If I had to guess, I’d say no. Michigan obviously if they lose. K-State will jump into the rankings but I don’t think they’ll pass us. Also we can officially put the “South Carolina would be the biggest win for any G5 contender” talk to bed. I...

Re: UT and USC
Anything can happen on any day in college football. If the App team that played ULM shows up in Columbia then we should win handily. I hope we utterly destroy GaSo on Thursday and get to rest the starters the entire 4th quarter. We have proven success with more than a week to practice and prepare fo...

Re: Construction
The distance from the field has been my number one concern. I hope I’m wrong but at the moment I’m really questioning the design. I don't mind having a buffer for players to slow down out of the back of the endzone if for no other reason than safety. Some places might as well be arena football with...

Re: Construction
I can't stop looking at the endzone camera. I knew the the new field house was going to be large but it looks huge. Maybe it's the angle? Walking by it last weekend it struck me how much wider the footprint will be than the old building. It is barely off of the west entrance walkway. Its gonna be r...

Re: ESPN Bowl Predictions
ESPN is clearly loaded with morons who know less about Bowl selection than the average fan. Its embarrassing really. If I were a betting man I would take the information they present and bet the farm on the opposite.

Re: Special Teams
Special teams is outstanding. We need to give Link a big raise and keep him around if we keep it up. People don't realize how stupid it is to just kick out of the back of the endzone. Kick right near goalline and high inside the 5. Give the unit time to get down field and the goal should be to make...

Re: Special Teams
While I enjoy seeing our special teams make big hits and stopping their returners anywhere short of the 25, I tense up just a bit when there is a return. Those collisions after a 40 yard full sprint are often violent, causing injuries. That's the biggest benefit of touchbacks. That and if their retu...

Re: Ted 'The Truth' Roof Appreciation Thread
I really just see guys making plays. Coverage is tighter, guys are wrapping up on tackles, etc. I can see a lower scoring game next week like 31-3. Just to rotate and keep guys fresh. Our DBs are certainly showing what a flew games worth of experience and study can do. Sherm and Jolly have tightene...

Re: Ted 'The Truth' Roof Appreciation Thread
Calling for the head of a coach their first year in is absurd unless the proverbial plane has crashed into the mountain (See Georgia Southern two seasons ago). My personal rule is I give a coach 4 seasons before you start to talk about showing them the door. Seeing we're 6-0 and your only gripe is ...

Re: Track
So, maybe if we aren’t go to fund it, drop it. I’m pretty confident the AD has a long term vision for our entire athletic department. I would imagine he is sacrificing the short term pains for the long term overall growth. It’s not that difficult to understand. It's not difficult to understand that...

Re: Track
The end of the track had to go to build the fieldhouse. They could not coexist. In the end the final product will be worth the wait. Once we have the 105 complex finished it will draw the athletes we want and need at App. That program will thrive just like all the other successful sports here.

Re: ** THURS UPDATE*** APP STATE / ULM WEATHER TRENDS
Updated forecast. Yeah, just to be safe, don't leave home without some rain gear. I'll have mine just incase the timing shifts. It's Boone, folks. At this point in the season, we should all be prepared for anything between 25 and 85 degrees and everything from cloudless skies to snow. I keep three ...

Re: Top 25 Watch (real thread)
How can we not be projected for the NO bowl at this point? Idiotic... https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/27835820/college-football-bowl-projections It’s clear by now these guys and others don’t bother to learn how the selection process works at the G5 level. Like another poster said, ...

Re: Attendance
Absolutely no exit plan in case of emergency. Pitiful planning. Actually NO planning. Total lack of leadership. Pretty sure they tweeted out an emergency egress evacuation map on Thursday or Friday. Just saying Did you watch it in action? Total incompetence. I vote for an emergency action plan situ...
