Re: Anybody in Boone feel the earthquake
I know we lost to JMU, but I'm not sure Mother Earth took it as hard as that!

Re: Marcus Williams Jr getting some pub
Just watched the post game interview with Clark. He doesn’t know why Marcus didn’t play. Our head football coach does not know why his starting RB is in street clothes. Still not ready for a little panic? That answer was odd, no question. If the decision was made to sit him at half time, Clark shou...

Re: UNCC Game after reflection
Pleased with: The running game; the look of the stadium; progress on NEZ; Cam Peoples' return; the defense; college football is back. Concerned with: Four bonehead mental mistakes. 1) The fourth-down offside penalty when everybody knew Charlotte's plan was to get us to bite. 2) The roughing the kic...

Re: Kidd Brewer looked great on TV
It will be incredible watching the kicks go through the uprights from the Miller Hill camera angle once there are screaming fans in the new seating!

Re: UNCC Game after reflection
Watching Cam Peoples run in traffic reminded me of Armanti. He just seems to float along with that long stride. It just looks effortless. As far as his fumble, they showed him on the sidelines after that and you know he was more disappointed in himself than any of us could be. Same for Marcus. If it...

Re: Wrestling v Duke
Dominant win! Wrestling has sell out matches on a regular basis and is one of the premier up and coming programs in the country. The wrestling stage isn't as big as football's, but our program is on everybody's radar in that theatre.

Re: Football Staff
The only scenario where we don't see regular coaching turnover is if we start losing. The latter can certainly lead to the former, but if we manage to keep winning there is no way coaches are going to stay in Boone for long. If you do not prove to be a good coach you really need to be gone, thus mor...

Re: Football Staff
You know sometimes it's opportunity to have a second chance at a past failure that can really drive you and motivate you to succeed. Not just in football but in all things. No idea if Dale will be better this time but I am hoping for the best. Great post! I'm optimistic about Jones. One thing for s...

Re: Who stays, who goes?
So if you are a young coach who wants to fast track to a P5, spend one year in Boone. For a little mountain town everyone (who has never lived there) makes fun of, its proving to be a coaching factory.

Re: NEZ work today
To get back to NEZ talk, I was in Boone today and couldn't not go by KBS. There was so much bitching about how far the building was from the field when the footings were being poured. I hope all you folks who were so quick to complain are looking at it now. If the seating continued along the same p...

Re: Join the Yosef Club
For those of us without children the standard tax deduction is $12,400 for 2020. So unless I give more than $12,500 in charitable donations or have medical deductions or something like that, my Yosef donation doesn't help me on my taxes. Nevertheless, I gladly make my donation and will continue to d...

Re: Places to Eat/Drink Around the Stadium
Going back, construction on 77 from Just north of Lake Norman/Mooresville area through Charlotte is atrocious. I would take 321 just because 55mph constant beats the hell out of stop and go for an hour on 77.

Re: Boone, NC - The Best Places To Retire in America Are All College Towns
The wife and I are currently on our search for land in Watauga and Ashe counties. Was a day late twice already on making offers on great deals. We found 20 acres with a stocked trout stream and a small three bedroom farm house listed at $145k. 10 miles outside Boone to the north. All the hunting and...

Re: Troy Tickets
As of today I still have not received my tix for Troy. I called their ticket office and spoke to Ryan. This young man gets customer service! He was calm and reassuring it isn't a problem. He put me on a brief hold and told me he needed to check on something. When he came back he told me he wasn't su...

If that happens I hope we beat them senseless. The way our DB's have improved, a couple of those long attempts will be INTs. One thing I don't see them trying again - trying to hurdle Jordan Fehr!!

Re: Troy discussion
I have a question for those in the know. With Reed out, I was wondering about the Freshman TE from Charlotte, Kofoed. Has he played any this year and is he ready for any meaningful snaps? He has played in 1 game thus far. Miller Gibbs is also a TE. He has the size, hopefully he is developing the sk...

Re: Conference Championship Tix
It would be great if we could sign in to our Yosef Club accounts and put a deposit on the Conference Championship tickets as soon as the game is over at Troy - assuming we win of course. Last year I drove back to Boone and waited in line on Sunday morning after Saturday's win. I'm staying in Troy F...
