Re: NC A&T Looks to go FBS

How many times has A&T participated in the FCS playoffs and played the top tier non-HBCU schools? I can't find a single time and I assume it is due to the self imposed designation. Please correct me if I am wrong. Its surprisingly hard to find info on the topic. Yes, they upset us during our transit...

Re: App State rookies on NFL depth charts

I didn't interpret Duck getting chased down as a knock on him, but a comment on the caliber of athlete in the league. They are the best of the best. The fact that he is on the field to make that play is a testament to his ability, and more importantly, his desire to prove he can compete at that leve...

Re: New 4 game series with Charlotte

UNCC has a beautiful sprawling campus in a suburban setting. Appalachian has a beautiful compact campus in an idyllic setting and is the central hub of a community. Therein lies the cultural difference between the two. Its what makes Boone and App a special place. Many choose App for the location. ...

Re: Jerry Moore Plaza

I wouldn’t be opposed to naming the whole stadium after him to be honest. Jerry Moore Field at Kid Brewer Stadium maybe? THIS The field is already named for Dell Murphy...I think the plaza was the best option available and it's totally appropriate complete with a Kodak spot with the statue... Might...

Re: SBNation UNC preview article - interesting

Yes, it's a total "homer" write up. I think he tried to give App some good credit but clearly he did practically no research. He keeps saying we are changing to a pro-style under center offense which isn't true at all. He has no concept of our offensive philosophy (conservative, run first, ball con...

Re: Jerry Moore Plaza

Is there a fund to contribute specifically for this? Coach Moore earned this and it should be a show piece at our stadium. Count me in for helping pay for this honor so greatly deserved.

Re: SBNation UNC preview article - interesting

From what I've been reading about UNC and their new staff, they are wanting to implement a more "up-tempo" offensive scheme, including no-huddle and quick-snap plays. I've noticed us having some issues on defense from time-to-time (not all the time, but enough to be a little concerned) with this in...

Re: White Out Game

Your white shirts with our green ones are going to make the stadium look terrific! You are excellent hosts, and we appreciate the warm welcome you have arranged. Please give my thanks to the genius that planned this. As long as you spend money while you are in Boone you are always welcome!

Re: Baker Mayfield of the SunBelt

I have broken many laws. You have too. Thankfully I am not a College Athlete with a Full Scholarship, nor do I have teammates who depend on me to do my job and not be a distraction to a new coaching staff. But if I were in that situation, I would like to think I would act in a manner that respected...

Re: Fan Fest 2019

Saw a lot of with my dad's teams back in the day. Guys are working hard, really getting at it and tired of taking it to each other. Hungry for the other team, and not afraid to put it all on the line during camp. A solid sign. Yep, but they should have been sat out until they quit running their mou...

Re: Fan Fest 2019

Outside of a few good defensive plays, including a pick 6, the offense (to me) was much more dominant. OL>DL and a lot of open space for receivers. There were two double reverse pass plays but both took to long to develop and resulted in a throw away and TFL. I don't recall seeing a snap under cent...

Re: season tickets

Rivers St. Roof is festival but only to those with roof access. I think it’s $750 and above. My passes just say Rivers St Deck. Is there a different pass for roof access? This is my 5th year in the deck but I have traditionally gotten there early to get a lower level spot to get out easier. We have...

Re: Fan Fest 2019

From my perspective, first team O and first team D both had good and bad moments. Zac threw a pick six on a ball that should have been heaved out of bounds. The receiver never had a chance. He was well covered. I saw 2 missed assignments that resulted in TDs. Of course it was not full contact so tak...

Re: Official Fall Camp thread

I read posts of folks worried to death about depth at certain positions- namely the Oline. There is a tendency to forget that we have younger guys getting bigger and stronger by the day who will push for playing time. I’m not sure a couple 270 lb. true freshmen possibly being 2nd team at the tackle...

Re: Baker Mayfield of the SunBelt

I prefer Zac’s demeanor. There are many great athletes who do not appreciate their ability and what it could afford them in life. I dont get the impression that Zac will ever display that sense of entitlement, shown through arrogance or lack of respect for others or the law. Athletic ability is a f...

I am at the $1,500 level, and given the posts above I am nervous to open my package tomorrow. I don't mind walking, I just like being near all of the action. I'm at $3k per year and received the roof of river street deck so prepare yourself If you ar at 3K you would not have gotten Rivers Street De...
