Re: Cam Peoples
Thankfully we have a staple of insanely good RBs. I do think he made the right choice, this coaching is absolute dog shit. Why hurt your chances playing for a mediocre ass bowl? Love App State with all my heart, but I’d like for quality players, like Cam, like our other RBs, to play for championshi...

Re: Rotation of Running Backs
Since 2021:
- App State is now 4-7 in FBS games where Cam Peoples has UNDER 14 carries (losses: UL 2x, Coastal, WKU, UNC, JMU, Texas State)
- In the same stretch, App State is 8-1 in FBS games where Cam Peoples has 14+ carries (Only Loss: Miami)
Using multiple backs isn’t helping us win games.

Re: App ranked 101 in 2019 recruiting
Was Drink more worried about polishing up his resume than recruiting? With our record in the Sunbelt I don’t understand being #4 in the Sunbelt in recruiting. How do we improve this? I’ve heard Clark will improve it. I hope so. On 247 the 2019 class is our recruiting class from last year. 2020 is t...

Re: Who stays, who goes?
Roof haters are gonna hate. One of the reasons I see our defense numbers were up this year is because of the offense. Once up, Drink went conservative. Too many three and outs in the second half. Defense was on the field too much. Saturday we scored 35 points in the first half and none in the secon...

Re: Who stays, who goes?
I’ll be the first to admit I doubted Roof at first. After the Charlotte game, I was ready to run him out of town, but the defense came around. They played lights out in both Carolina games and the first ULaLa game. The players seem to like him. He has done a commendable job this year as DC. Some pe...

Re: Who stays, who goes?
Good question, maybe slightly more complicated? Roof - I wouldn't be surprised if he is offered HC. If he is, he stays. Even as DC, I could see him staying as he is a little older and his son is now at App. Harbison, Link, Stewart, Riley probably gone I tend to agree with your stays and would add L...

Since I found SportSurge.net I’ve been able to watch any game, for most sports, for free. I’d recommend to give this a try.

Re: Louisville and Conley
I think a lot of people thought Conley had a chance at playing this year, but saying it was the right decision for him to follow satt is a bit premature at this point. Personally I will be surprised if he plays past this year once satt gets his choice at an ACC level an recruit. He was already down...

Re: How do we keep Drinkwitz!?!?
I know we’ve got some time. This team was built by coaches that are over at Louisville now. However, Drinkwitz and his staff are doing a damn good job building on what was inherited. If Drinkwitz can recruit as good as he can coach, offers are going to be flying in! My hopes are that Drinkwitz is l...

Re: Coastal Carolina
You can’t under estimate the value of having two lock down corners and what it allows the defense to do. We had one for the better part of three years and we’re extremely blessed to have two last year. I’m not sure what to make of ty lack of press coverage this year but it seems like Duck and Hayes...

Re: Coastal Carolina
Watched every defensive snap in the coastal game on YouTube today, here are some things I have noticed. Trey Cobb over pursued and left some gaping holes on running plays early in the game. They went after Jolly on the outside playing soft coverage a lot on RPOs. He played pretty well and only gave ...

1-0 mentality every week. Who cares if we are ranked, because none of it matters if we don’t have the results at the end of the season.NattyBumppo'sRevenge wrote: ↑Tue Sep 24, 2019 3:49 pmMy question is, how can we ever get ranked if we keep being 1-0?

Re: Ted Roof Crow Thread - Come Get Your Dinner
Are we sure we aren’t overreacting to a win here? We still gave up 31 points to a below average UNC team. We played excellent defense in the first half and Roof seemingly didn’t make any adjustments down the stretch once UNC started finding success offensively. If I remember correctly, this was the...

Re: Quit yer bitchin'
I hope nobody dislocates a shoulder patting yourselves on the back over having "gotten it right". It's WAY too early to draw any conclusions. I get it. Nobody was happy about the defense last year but any reasonable analyst over the past year has commented that we had some questions to answer with ...

Re: Fire Ted Roof
After reading this thread it is apparent the season is over. I'm assuming all you folks with tickets to the UNC game will post on this board that you are selling them at cut rate prices. I get being upset about the performance yesterday, I know I was. But, does anyone really think after one bad def...

Re: Quit yer bitchin'
I never saw a 4-3.We did have linebackers playing on the edge. With that said , the defense was horrendous on the backside. Our DBs didn’t know where the ball was 90% of the time. The lack of adjustment to the UNCC scheme was dumbfounding. The weather and crowd were fantastic though.... We forced o...

Re: 2-0
What level of talent? We lost 2 corners to the NFL and Myqoun Stout, our most important defensive piece. You can’t just disregard that to try and prove your point. OK. But we also have a lot of returning guys with more experience under their belts. We have a QB in his second year with a stout group...

Re: Quit yer bitchin'
We were one of the leaders last year in fewest plays over 30 yards allowed. Yesterday, we gave up over 500 yards, 4 “chunk” plays that exceeded 30 yards (all lead to Charlotte Touchdowns) and 6 or 7 more plays that went for more than 20 yards. The Ted Roof effect is in full force. We need our defen...
