Hey Panthers, a local young man named Akeem Davis-Gather is available to play LB!
And if that doesn’t work we have another named Fehr

Re: Who stays, who goes?

Like the Kuechly thoughts, but pretty sure he lands on the Panthers staff. Gonna miss watching him play. I say hire him as Co-defensive coordinator and play caller right now, if he wanted it. He can do whatever he wants to do now, I'm sure. Doubt he's spent much of the money he's made. Doesn't meed...

Re: Tailgating 2020

We really need to come up with an effective way to use the green space around the new dorms to “tailgate”. This could be a prime location to encourage folks to make Yosef club donation. The top of the deck is ok but it’s isolated.

Re: Who stays, who goes?

We can look at rankings for comparison all day and nit pick why. I just don’t think it is as easy as pointing to the coach and blaming him and his assistants for a perceived regression. We were 13-1 with a lot of those victories helped greatly by the defense. In one score games against the Carolina...

Re: Nike Mountaineer Football Gear

It was my understanding that Nike's exclusivity contract pertains to what our players wear on the field, but not necessarily items available for fan purchase. If no one outside of Nike were allowed to produce App gear we wouldn't have several stores devoted especially to App gear all over Boone sto...

Re: Nike Mountaineer Football Gear

Get under armor to make them App is 125% not allowed to do that because of the licensing agreement with Nike. You could personally try to get someone to print an Appalachian logo on something but they probably won’t do it because you have to have permission from the school and to make money (Aka pr...

No. Being a Nike school is a recruiting tool.

UA is not cool.
It ain’t cool to me. I don’t buy anything Nike. I actually like UA stuff.

Re: Why Is College Football Attendance Tanking?

I’ve really started to wonder if smaller stadiums are the answer to preserving the game atmosphere while TV makes the money. G5 stadiums at 15 to 20 K seats up close to the field would provide a great game atmosphere for the players and plenty of fans for the tv cameras. It would also be a little mo...

He was an original. Don’t think I’ve heard anybody play like him. Most drummers pretty much keep the beat, Pert was the star.

It’s all about Internet and TV. Video killed the football star.
Ironic, the thing that has made the money could kill the game atmosphere.

Re: NEZ work today

I have only been to one App game when I did not see plenty of good seats for sale in the parking lot. That game was Gardner Webb in 2007. From what I saw this year we have some momentum with the current crop of students. They know nothing but the belt and nothing but winning. I really think the way ...

Re: Who stays, who goes?

For what it’s worth this is what’s currently listed on our web site Clark. Head and O line. Yep, listed as O line Riley. Running backs Stewart. D line Washington. Wide receivers Watts. Tight ends The most interesting part to me was that Clark is still listed as the O line coach. Coach Gas as well. ...

Re: Roof out

At least we knew Ted Roof was the DC before some called for him to be fired. Jones is an “App guy” and we don’t even know he’s going to be the DC and folks are all ready calling for him to be demoted. It’s also odd that for all hatred of Ted Roof early in the season I sure don’t see a lot of folks o...

Re: Boston College Is Terrible

To be fair most of us went crazy when we beat UNC by 3 points. I really expected us to beat UNC but was one of those folks going crazy. That said I’m not going to say the ACC is terrible. I’m going to say BC was at the bottom end of the ACC and Cincinnati is one of the best G5 teams.
