Re: Next Years Roster

So one more game and it is off to next year. Not a lot of seniors on the 2019 squad but some key pieces O line and linebackers and d backs graduating. What do the replacements look like? Will we be even better next year? Or take a step back? Victor Johnson, Gaither, and Thomas are the biggest losse...

We’ll be up by 17 before the start of the 2nd quarter. The game will be completely out of hand by halftime. UAB is gonna stand for Ur Apps Bitch after the beat down they’re going to take. Our guys are rightfully pissed and anger is a helluva motivator.
So are you saying we need to keep the chip?

Re: Thank you Drink

Just watching Drink's introductory presser at Mizzou, and I don't know why, a glutton I guess...but he is literally using the exact same speech he gave less than a year ago in Boone. Exact same phrasing, all the same motto's and sayings. I've already heard "pride, passion, purpose", "we must seize ...

Re: Thank you Drink

You guys saying thanks are very gracious. Your setting a great example. I just can’t get there yet. I’m with a few other folks that think we did more for him than he did for us. You guys may also want to wait a couple of weeks to see how many of our folks he takes with him. You may change you mind.

Re: SB championship Game Thread

My favorite parts of the SBC game: The students came, stayed and celebrated the victory. That says a lot for our future. Going forward it looks like we could have a fan base the cares about conference wins. The picture of Vic Johnson holding that trophy above his head. If you haven’t seen it it’s on...

Re: App State players are speaking out on Twitter

Signing day is 12/18, I’ll in on Clark. His resume includes 7 years as an assistant at FBS programs including OC/AHC and then four at App. We could go after another P5 OC or DC or FCS HC, but they would be short term rental with the talent we have coming back. Clark very well could be the guy, but ...

Programs with a winning football culture promote from within. What do the coaches at all four playoff teams have in common? All were assistants on staff whom were elevated to head coach.
What a great observation. This and Boise are certainly something we should consider.

Re: Doug Gillin?

Yes. DGs name has been on a few desks this year. Reality is, funding is a hurdle here. There is a reason I, along with others, have been pushing the Yosef Club heavy this year. We have a lot of projects going on, and that costs a lot of money, and there is bound to be shortfalls. I love DG and woul...

Re: App State players are speaking out on Twitter

Does anybody know if Drink actually spoke with the players? No idea but after watching how the players are reacting right now, my guess is he did not. Maybe about them going to NOLA bowl game but not about leaving for Mizzou. So how are the players reacting today? The atmosphere will be tense if/wh...

Re: App State players are speaking out on Twitter

I heard team meeting today at 3pm. Honestly, media and twitter make this a lose/lose situation for Drink and the players. All the data is out there before it's finalized. If it was me, I wouldn't want to give a speech without having a contract signed...I'd also be pissed that it's reported as a don...

Re: App State players are speaking out on Twitter

I know social media has made this stuff hard but anyone with an ounce of courage and or class would have talked to the players by now. And Drink May have talked to them. I don’t know.

Re: App State players are speaking out on Twitter

Take a look at Twitter. Lots of players including Demetrius Taylor, Darrynton Evans, Cam Peoples, Cole Garrison, Malik Williams, Corey Sutton, and Noah Hannon have actively tweeted about Drinkwitz leaving and don't seem too concerned. Many are also actively lobbying to make Shawn Clark the head coa...

Re: SunBelt is a JOKE

I say we need to find a way to get Memphis, Cincinnati, Navy and UCF on the schedule. So I’ll ask this, how would our fans accept playing any of those teams in place of say ECU or Wake? This sounds like skating to where the puck is instead of where it's going to be. These games get scheduled so far...
