Re: Yosef Club staff: Dominic Parisi

Maybe the reason they feel unappreciated is because they read this board. Come on guys, give theses folks a break. The “donation” is suppose to be for the cause not the perks. Not sure what post this was in response to. If it was mine as the originator of the thread, I’d suggest reading my post aga...

Re: Charlotte Light Rail Violence

In 2017 Charlotte was ranked the 28th “deadliest city” in the country. Murder rates went up drastically in 2017 and in 2019 they are double the number compared to 2018. In late April of 2019 the city had 44 murders compared to 14 in the same time frame for 2018. More than 10 murders per month. Maybe...

Re: App State UNC sold out in 30 minutes

I could be wrong but I really don’t think empty seats from season ticket holders is a huge issue. I’m sure somebody has the exact number but I don’t think we have more than around 4000 season ticket holders. If half don’t show for a game that’s only 2000 empty seats.

Re: 2019 Ga Southern game need some advice

As Appchicago pointed out, tailgating is a unknow this year. I would say check out the Railey or Duncan lots. If you don’t know Boone hit Kings street before the game. Hope you have a great time.

Re: Improving a tradition

There's a catalog of really awesome movies you could show her... I’ve spent more time seeing good football and going to good concerts with her Idk what kind of shows you're taking her to but it sounds like you're a good dad. Expose her to as much good music as you can! 💪 Thanks man, good Dad is one...

Re: Improving a tradition

You have to know that we already have a lot of folks going “who the hell is that”. My daughter is 21. She grew up going to App games and she has no idea who James Bond or Sean Connery are. There's a catalog of really awesome movies you could show her... I’ve spent more time seeing good football and...

Re: Improving a tradition

I don’t want to come off as some old guy who hates anything new, but traditions work because fans know whats going to happen and they can participate. Our crowd noise level died when we started all the PA music. We copied this from other G5 schools. Most of those folks have to rely on the PA system ...

Re: Luke Combs

I saw Church in Greensboro in 18 and 19. In 18 he made a deal out of UNC winning the final four. Didn’t really say anything this year. Someone did hand him an App jersey and he tied it around his mic stand but didn’t say anything about App. If I talk about seeing Church I have to say he puts on a gr...

Re: Improving a tradition

:x Aside from the welcome to the rock intro (don’t care for it one way or the other) you have to listen to what the students want in music to get them or keep them energized. The same old 70’s songs we hear year after year after year have run their course. Either the band comes up with better tunes...

Peacock!!!!! One of my originals thoughts was that during the transition you could have some fun by spofing the Connery bit....Peacock was the first person I thought of.....Ken Peacock in a black turtle neck and cap just like Connery....he looks over his shoulder and delivers the line, welcome to t...

Re: Improving a tradition

Don’t know if you have been to any “big time”football stadiums but they don’t tend to use a bunch of trendy music. They have traditions that the fans know and participate in. I’m not saying you can’t use any trendy music but it should not override the traditions. Been to Clemson and UGA. The traditi...

Re: Improving a tradition

Doug, I’m going to tell you a few things about myself just so you know that I’m a serious fan who’s big on our football traditions. I’m a 1988 graduate, I’ve been on the turf at KBS in uniform and I haven’t missed a home game in 13 years. I have those 7, yes 7, home dates on my calendar for 2019 an...
