Re: Worst I’ve ever seen
It has been apparent since the season opener against ETSU that something is off with this team. Poor tackling, mediocre running game and we’re getting our butts kicked on the line of scrimmage, on both sides of the ball. This is not Appalachian State football, where we take on all comers and let the...

Marshall - 2021 Men’s Soccer National Champs
now that’s a hard pill to swallow after seeing ASU’s storied program kicked to the curb like yesterday’s trash.

Re: App cutting multiple sports
the loss of men’s soccer is a bitter pill to swallow, at least for those of us who witnessed the remarkable success during the 70’s and early 80’s. While the program had struggled a bit for various reasons, we were encouraged when Doug took over as AD and seemed committed to keeping, and building MS...

Re: This is why I'm devastated
I'm more pissed, and sick at the stomach than I am disappointed. This was one bitter pill to swallow, when you think back over the points left on the field, and untimely mistakes that cost us this game. Give Wake credit for playing a fairly clean game (in terms of mistakes), keeping their poise when...

Lake Norman was 4A state champs in 2010 and runner up in 2014, Seacat's junior season. he has the potential to be a good player for us, assuming he has been working hard in the weight room.

Re: MSOC: 2016 Sun Belt Men's Soccer Tourney Bracket
Poor performance yesterday and a poor season. I was hoping for some positives that this program was on its way up. While watching the Ga Southern and the tournament game I dont see any other positive throughout O'keefe's first full year other than the tie vs uncc. Take Chapman off this team and the...

Re: VB: Apps suffer 10th five-set loss
A disappointing result, for sure, but from where I sat, Georgia Southern looks to be the best team in the conference. Their new coach has loaded his roster with internationals and has added some real impact players, especially #19, who gave us fits coming down the right side, and managed to play sev...

Re: MSOC: Coastal Carolina at App State In Progress at Ted Mack
Coastal was likely the most physical team we'll see, from a size perspective. Their roster included six guys at 6'4" or taller, each weighing in the 200 pound range. And they looked every bit of 6'4", 200 lbs - they were huge! They were bigger than the average soccer player, to be sure, but honestly...

Re: Greek Life?
Sorority life can be a very positive experience and should give your daughter a good support group and add some structure to college life. My daughter was in a sorority at UNC and it was overall a very positive experience for her. Good for social life, academics, and great for networking.

Coach has a great opportunity to put his recruiting connections to good use. hopefully he can get us back to respectability in the near furure, but it won't happen overnight.

Re: MSOC @ No. 21 WFU 7 PM ACC Network
We "parked the bus" , sat back and played D the whole game, and did not get our 1st shot (a prayer of an attempt to chip keeper) until the 75th minute. Wake is an excellent passing and possession team who has easily outshot their opponents so far, having taken 85 shots to date through 4 games. We ob...

I understand Caleb Fuller was a walk-on, who just went on scholarship back in the Spring. To make the plays he made against the Tenn Vols is truly remarkable.

My youngest just finished his freshman year at NC State and is in need of a nice GPA booster to get into the engineering school. Told him to take a few independent study courses through Chapel Hill. Hahahaha!

Re: Who is your all Time asu favorite football alumni or coach
Did not know Gill played QB in high school, before moving to center position at ASU. And did not recall that he was from just down the mountain, in Lenoir. He was a Senior when I was a freshman, and I remember he was highly respected, both as a player and student. Believe he was in the same class as...

Re: USSMNT v. Guatamala Rematch--Must Win for Klinsmann
US soccer is frustrating to watch. At least Klinsman is trying to play "soccer",but we are so far behind in developing players. Guess it must have to do with the "want it now, immediate satisfaction" American culture. We seem to do well and more than hold our own until our boys grow into men, when o...

Gill Beck, three time All SOCON, two time Academic All American, top English student, Eggers Award winner, 3.98 cumulative GPA, Duke Law, US Army Major General and judge. Now top that!
