Re: Can we fix this

We are consistently ranked at, or near the top of SBC recruiting by 247 Sports. (arguments accepted and welcomed.) We recruit good quality, G5 talent. What has changed under under Coach Clark is it seems that we no longer develop the talent the way we did starting with Jerry Moore and continuing thr...

Re: T A&M

Why are some people so enamored with gambling odds? (Only one book has a line, but it’s +16.5) etc. Why do you care? You constantly are posting things that are far more meaningless than gambling odds. Gambling odds give you an idea of how the team is viewed by well informed oddsmakers. You guys cor...

Another pick 6 for our defense. I think that is 3 games in a row with at least 1 pick 6. Very impressive.
Who made the INT?

Very possible I took it incorrectly. When I read the part about the portal, I just took it as a rationalization. I’m probably too ready for the Sabans of the football world to try to consolidate their power.

Increased Signing Limits

https://footballscoop.com/news/ncaa-reportedly-raise-25-man-scholarship-limit With four schools moving from G5 conferences to a P5 conference, there are now 69 P5 schools. If football signing limits are increased from 25 to 32, that means that a potential 483 players that wanted to play in a P5 conf...

Hand and Byrd. Bad days for Blackshirt offensive backs!
Methinks you must've seen some of that action real close-up!
I witnessed that action, from the stands, at least. I have an analogy for those that didn’t. If you have seen the short film “Bambi vs. Godzilla”, Larry Hand was Godzilla!

First, I’m going bald, and now THIS!!! This is where I was when I first heard Sgt. Peppers! This is where I spent plenty of blissful hours watching boy ducks chase girl ducks on, what we called then, the “Frog Pond” This is were I slept while all my 8:00 a.m. classes were being held!!!! Re: NEZ work today

Winter of 1992 they sent us to class with the wind chill of somewhere around -50. I think the NC legislature passed some sort of weather related law about soon after. I remember that winter well. Plus we had a 2 WEEK Spring Break due to the nor'easter snow storm!!! That was 93. I drove back to Boon...

No, it's not a flip by any normal understanding of the word. He didn't have scholarship offers from Florida, Ole Miss, Ohio State or any other P5. In fact I believe we were his first and only FBS offer. However, none of that means he can't be a valuable member of App's program, or possibly outperfo...

Re: Missouri State to the Sun Belt?

I'd think EKU would be in line first. I know they wanted to come to the Sun Belt, and then the Sun Belt passed on them in favor of Coastal, but I think as a response the Colonels have been busy working on their infrastructure to make another go at it. Just as long as we don't bring in Liberty... Yo...

Agreed on the "Roll Beers"...should be barred from vocabulary of any legit App St fan....also "The Apps"..an up is something I download to my phone. The public address announcer for Penn State should have been penalized his paycheck for referring to App St as "the Apps" during the game last year. G...

Re: NEZ work today

If we on this board all show up with a shovel and a wheel barrow, we should be able to get it done in a weekend. Right? The stadium was fairly new when it was discovered that the track had not been built to the correct length. They hired some of us high-school students as the “construction crew”. T...

Re: Victor Johnson

Is Victor Johnson the best Offensive lineman in school history. Started at Left Tackle for 4 straight years, 4 straight conference champions, 4 straight bowl wins, kept the QB clean the vast majority of the time. Dude has been an anchor at one of the most important positions for four straight years...

Re: Our Next Head Mountaineer

One of the silver linings is that next year's roster is very strong and will help with the transition of the new coach. If we were hiring after next year, they'd be coming into a situation with almost an entirely new offense. I just hope that Drinkwitz doesn’t pull a “General Sherman” and burn Atla...
