Re: 2024-25 Roster Breakdown & Wishlist
I don’t think the amount of scholarships really matter anymore. It is no longer a necessity to use them all in CBB.

Re: 2024 Baseball Mega Thread
Forgive my ignorance with NCAA baseball, but can we still make the tournament by winning the conference tournament?

Re: Kerns agrees to new contract
Coffee connections in the south told me to not be surprised if DK leaves for LSU to join MM staff... Double pay and could spring board to another job in a year. Something to monitor. Wyoming head coach is leaving for Texas Tech assistant job. As always #TeamClark and Happy Mothers Day Weekend to ou...

Re: 2024 Schedule
ECU is a team that slightly worries me. They can't be worse than last year and Dowdy will not be an easy stadium to play in. I certainly believe we are the better team and have improved ourselves from the game last year but it will be tough I think.

Re: Is it time to rethink the sports we offer ?
Just a thought and a question. Not advocating that we drop any programs. If some programs were actually cut other than football, M & W basketball, volleyball, baseball, softball, and wrestling (and the minimum number of programs was met while still maintaining title 9 numbers) would anyone really n...

Re: Is it time to rethink the sports we offer ?
If we do have to go down this road, I think we have to focus on sports that generate attendance and thus revenue. Cutting out sports like men’s golf to re “boot” (pun intended) the men’s soccer program seems like a logical action. I think there is also a growing level of excitement with the club hoc...

Re: G5 Poll
There is too many G5 bottom feeders rooting for this even though they won't have a shot at this either. Top G5 programs like App State, Boise St, Fresno St., Memphis, etc.. will have a decision to make soon about which side of the fence they belong. Unfortunately, that decision will likely be made b...

I like this list. I will also add beat CCU. We are 1-2 in the last 3 games in Conway (same record with Ga So in Statesboro I might add). Beating CCU and Ga So on the road are huge goals for me.

Re: 2024 Roster Updates
Just to play devil's advocate a bit, we did have a QB like Joey out of high school who was the opening starter but he broke his finger and missed the year. We missed on QBs to follow Zac Thomas but I wouldn't call Burger a miss in the same sense. More of an unfortunate circumstance that worked out f...

Re: 2024 Roster Updates
Jaden Lindsey . Dead weight Tired of having dead weight at OL with an OL as a HC. How is that possible? The coaches can’t do it for the players. You bring guys in with talent and coach them but sometimes it just never clicks. It’s more prominent with OL because it is the position group with the mos...

Re: Who left first, players or coach Kerns?
lol this is getting ridiculous. What would the athletic department say in a statement? “We are committed to a winning basketball program”. The school or players don’t use owe anything. This may be their one chance in life to get a payday if it’s about money. If it’s not about money, maybe this is th...

Re: Portal season (Abson, Spillers, etc)
We are a training program for the schools with deeper pockets. I guess Kerns will go looking for transfers at every level - those from big conferences that are looking for more PT and those from little schools that want to move up because they feel they are better than the school they played for. L...

Re: March Madness
I agree. Whether we all want to admit it or not, JMU has been the one of the best (if not the best) mid majors from start to finish. They are 31-3 for a reason. We matched up well and were able to take away their strength, but I don’t believe we would be beating Wisconsin this handily. They have con...

Re: And once again
Most coaches and ADs aren’t emotionally tied to the school like we are as fans. Some are and those are the ones that stay long term. Gillin has been here 10 years and has done a lot of good things for us. He’s also done some things that aren’t as good in my opinion. If he wants to move up it in his ...

Re: 5+7 model close to passing. G5 would still get screwed
I was hoping for 1 year of the 6+6. It was a pipe dream I know but just seemed like the perfect scenario with our returning cast. I do fail to see how allowing the highest ranked G5 conference champ a spot in the playoff is "screwing the G5". I think we should be realistic here. There is a stark di...

Re: NCAA Video Game
There should eventually be some sort of profit sharing agreement between the players and EA where they receive a payout after the regular season based on snaps played. We have enough data these days that the payout could be calculated within a week. Who negotiates on behalf of the players though?
