Re: How much have Apps made in the last 20 years?

Good work appdaze! I would be willing to guess the total probably approaches north of $100 million if you include players and coaches (ie Steve Wilks, John Settle) in the NFL past and present that are App alumni.

Jason Hunter was left out. I’m sure he made a few dollars in the league.

ADG: Making the Transition to the NFL

I thought some of you might enjoy this link complimenting ADG and discussing the advice he has received since being drafted by the Bengals.

Re: NC Residential Roofing Code

I’d like to chime in also with the fact that the extra layer of shingles adds useless extra weight to your roof and reduces the life of your new shingles by approximately 50%. If it were mine I would remove both layers. It shouldn’t be that much extra labor to remove both layers considering you real...

+1 for Rough Ridge and Elks knob. A little farther away is Hawksbill that I enjoy a lot. Really miss being able to get easy access to Hebron Colony falls or I would squeeze it in on a short trip (not fond of taking the trails from Price Park).

Re: Bowl Games

So, had this been in place this past season, would a path to the Belk Bowl have been a greater possibility? Not quite related, so no. The Belk Bowl has primary tie ins to the ACC and the SEC. The only way an alternate team from outside of those two conferences can get in is if either conference was...

Re: Appalachian State Flags

By that logic, I guess "Once an athlete, always an athlete". Good luck to the NCAA with inforcing that. They can't even manage improper benefits at these schools with current athletes. At least it's nice to know App is by the book, even if that "book" is flawed in many ways.

I really appreciate these guys for doing this. They could probably write a book about all the behind the scenes stories individually and collectively over the years.

Everything I am reading on Evans reminds me of a lot of the things that were being said about Travaris Cadet when he w...

Re: UNC - Coach Williams Translation

Let's take UNC out of the equation for a minute. How would you all feel if a coach of any of our teams did this? Personally I find it more likely to be destructive than constructive, not only to the role of a coach as a mentor to his or her players, but to future recruiting efforts as well.

You have to include Jalin Moore's touchdown run against Arkansas St last year. He carried the tackler at least 7 yards to the endzone before extending for the touchdown with a broken leg. TIGMA all the way!

Re: That “Head Coach feel”

The attitudes on this board seem to rival the temperament of all those last minute shoppers at Wal-Mart earlier. It wasn't pretty there either. Let's not lose the good cheer this soon after such a great season and bowl win. Honestly App family, looking at the state of so many other programs, we coul...

Maybe I'm pessimistic, but 19th is probably where we will land at best with all the P5 bias. I'll hope for better, but temper my expectations. I look forward to our program making believers out of more of the voters next season.

I have no worries. Many of us would agree he has a tremendous love for App State. I'm confident he will be conscientious of perceptions that may cast an unfavorable light on our University, and he will put his best foot forward to represent our school with honor.

Stink already won a bowl game in their minds when they beat us. Liberty just doesn't hype them up enough I guess.
