Re: Oreg St at 3:30pm - Discussion

Thought there were less than 200 tickets left for sale. That seems pretty good to me.
Whether people show is a different story.

Re: Happy Opening Day!

Got the dodgers right where the Reds want them. After scoring 10 runs, they think this is going to be easy. Overconfidence will be their downfall 😂😂😂

Re: Game day Operations

Do we play enough games where the lights would take on optimal effect? Starting at 3:30 and then 2:30 later in the season doesn’t create a lot of night time events. I feel like the sun sets behind the West tower at like 3pm October on. Definitely by 4ish. But, you don’t do them just for games. For ...

Re: Happy Opening Day!

BambooRdApp, did you get to the game at Bristol Speedway? How was it? I know the rain came and all that, but how did it go as a baseball field? Good viewing? I’ve been to many Cup races there, hated it when they hauled in the dirt, but have never been to any other event there besides a race. Unfort...

Re: Does culture matter anymore?

Not sure I agree. . We found both 7s, two years ago at LB and this year RB at Power school.. just buried on the depth chart.
It does not matter where they come from... The coach just needs to be able to properly evaluate talent.

Could we drop back down to fcs? It’s better than going 4-8 or 5-7 which seems to be the path we are heading.
Good grief...on that take, one of the two has to be true... are you a Western Carolina grad or a Furmam grad?

Re: Does culture matter anymore?

We should/should've concentrated on what makes App different as opposed to getting into the trenches on the NIL / wannabe SEC coach train. Anyone wowed by DL's history prior to here? Let's be real about those teams and their records in aggregate... App won't ever compete on a dollar to dollar basis...

Re: Arkansas HC Sear

Will need some deep pockets for the buy-out. I think Florida would have terminated Billy. However, I do not believe the buy-out money is free flowing. As such, it may take some time for some of these schools given how much they (donors) are paying in NIL. No question that is why he is still there. ...

Re: Happy Opening Day!

So much parity this year. The playoffs have been unpredictable recently even when there were what appeared to be dominant teams. I have kind of assumed the Dodgers would turn it on in October, and they may well do so. But I actually do think the Reds are a scary matchup in a short series. I don't h...

Re: Does culture matter anymore?

I get wanting playing time but has the idea of working hard for a spot died? Yes. The unlimited portal usage has killed that idea dead. I think this thought is so overblown. In the vast majority of cases, players aren’t transferring because they are afraid to compete. Take Dubinon and Cummings for ...

I’m hearing of a possible negotiated buyout and retirement.
I do think Arkansas is different. I think pittman takes less as allegiance to university.

Billy and Doeren- no history other than coaching there

Re: The Good,The Bad, and the Ugly- Boise State

The great thing is, all of our goals are still in front of us I know this is tongue-in-cheek, and there are certain goals that have passed us by, but this season COULD still be somewhat successful. App has only played one conference game, and zero games against the SBC East. The conference is looki...

Re: Does culture matter anymore?

NIL killed App State football. I really hope I’m wrong, but we simply don’t have the money to keep up. I just don’t like this as an excuse to not be competitive in the Sun Belt. The gap between us and P4’s, yes. But we should compete year in and year out in the Sun Belt. GO APPS!! 1000%! I can acce...

IMHO, the trenches need improvement. However, the two INTs on Saturday were not due to pressure on QB.

Re: Vol Football (Aguilar watch)

For yesterday, I thought Joey Dimes had an average performance 1 TD and 2 INTs Haven’t watched the replay but weren’t those INTs balls that bounced off the TEs hands? Yes, both were tipped. The first one would have been considered a great catch by TE. He had to have jumped to his Max (or close) and...
