Re: Another Portal Loss and Portal Discussion

I agree. Would not be surprised if our starter, more often than not, will now come from portal. After a year at P5 being redshirt, then sitting again as RS freshman...that gets old ..kids want to play. It is competitive nature.

Re: Hold on to your hats ….

App. St. can have both ..focus on academics and athletics. Whether people like it or not, App..St. would not had the growth etc. and potentially not in SBC without focusing on Athletics or providing an environment to succeed in athletics. Some may disagree..and that is fine. I want someone that embr...

Re: 2024 Baseball Mega Thread

Troy is like soccer players faking injuries..on called 3rd strikes they dramatically try to go to first and then do the jump and high bat flip to show disgust after the fact humorous

Re: 2024 Baseball Mega Thread

I need more Steensma. 10 Ks through 6 innings. Probably done for the day. We need to move him to the Friday starter spot so he'll be lined up for the 1st game of the Sun Belt tournament. 7-1 bottom of the 6th Give him a batter. If he gets an out leave him in. If not, go to the pen. Not sure who he ...

Re: 321 and 105 Closures until at least Sunday

Another way from Linville Take 105N to Shulls Mill Road, it should be open there, not sure though. Take Shulls Mill Road toward Blowing Rock (it's curvy). Exit Blue Ridge Parkway, north. Exit Bamboo Road to Boone. Just off the top of my head. There are other ways from Shulls Mill Road too. Foscoe h...

Re: Portal season (Abson, Spillers, etc)

Many here donate to MAF, 3333 & TIGMA, so thanks to all who support our players & programs . But how many of our “rabid fans” spend $50-$75/week on coffee, but cry poverty when it comes to helping App maintain our winning momentum? If someone is spending that much just on coffee for themselves when...

Re: Second ever App state game

Hebron Rock Colony is also a good place to visit. Easy hike for most part until you get down near river. Once you get to rock formations, you can hop from boulder to boulder. I haven't been in years so I can't confirm, but I have been told Hebron is gone. It was apparently always private property a...
