Re: SBC expands ESPN deal
ESPN is clearly behind these conference moves. Did they extend the SBC contract and add games knowing the SBC would expand? Could you imagine if the SBC went full court press for the first "mid-major" super conference? App State Arkansas State Georgia State Louisiana Monroe South Alabama Georgia So...

Re: Spring Practice
You cannot ever convince me that TP was the primary play caller in the Myrtle Beach Bowl. That game looked completely different than any other game. If Ted Roof can change up what he does as a coordinator three games into a season, TP could have done so as well. I'm not going to argue with you, as ...

Re: Spring Practice
If someone here says that they have a "source" that told them that Tony Petersen was not the primary play-caller after some point during the year last season, then I have to ask:
How does it feel to find out that your source is purposefully or ignorantly giving you false information?

Re: Robert Nunn
It's true. Braswell almost has to be the safeties coach at the end of the day. He's the only staff member without a definite foot in the door in any 1 position. Nunn (DL) - NFL DL Coach Jones (ILB) - Longtime ILB coach, former DL Coach DeBastiani (OLB) - Longtime LB coach, former DL coach Rowe (CB) ...

Re: Who stays, who goes?
Betting practice is in February now. Essentially a full staff. Missing a safeties coach & worst case Rowe can coach all DB's or a GA/QC can work them through drills.
You guys may get that ever desired early spring after all.

Re: Nic !!!
He isn’t talking to players. He is representing App as a relationship builder. He isn’t allowed to speak directly to kids. When you do not have a full staff, you can temporarily bump others into recruiting roles. Ware was bumped to that role and was able to recruit while the staff was incomplete. O...

Offensive line Know that or is it a guess? I wonder if he takes back TE and watts moves to OL. One of these 2 probably takes ST He is coaching the OL. Cool. Thanks. Now that we have a better idea of what we are looking at, lets summarize. Shawn Clark- HC Petersen- OC/QB(?) RB- _____________ WR- Pat...

Re: 2020 and beyond Uniforms
From what I've heard, Yosef use isn't really promoted. Rarely ever see anything new anymore with a Yosef on it. It's like we can't use it or something. I find it hard to believe that we can use it and just choose not too. You don't see it on Football uniforms or helmets really. How many times have w...

Re: Who stays, who goes?
App has had at least one 1000 yard running back every season (excluding the 2 transition seasons) for the last 20 years. A pass crazy OC is not what we need. A 60-40 run to pass mix is App's signature. That should continue. Petersen was Scottie Montgomery's (9-26 record) OC at ECU and engineered on...

Re: Who stays, who goes?
I am as anxious as anybody however I do remember a couple of the initial hires by Eli left before the ink dried and he had to repeat the process which raised doubts about his HC judgement skills. That may be part of the reason Shawn is trying to get through the full process before some of these rol...

Re: 6 Teams who could make noise in 2020
Is this the official thread that kick starts the “beat Morgan St”, win 1 at a time, don’t look ahead, “come back down to earth” and other piss on corn flakes stuff that will go on until September? Will it also be policed by the football gods who point out that a message board guy saying “take care ...

Re: Losing Another one to the Transfer Portal
Definitely disappointing to lose OL players as you can never have enough road graders. According to twitter, App was his "dream school" when he signed and he seemed to be all in a month ago on #Clark2020. Wonder what changed? Appears App has now lost 40% of the 2018 class with 10 departures out of ...

Re: Who stays, who goes?
great. Whatever. How about a real announcement like Offensive Coordinator, O-line coach, QB coach, LB coach... I’m guessing as late as it is, we will do spring practice like last year as opposed to how satt did it. I believe we have our LB coaches. We are still awaiting a safeties coach though. I'm...

Re: Nike Mountaineer Football Gear
I am well aware of the fact that I’m outside of the demographic that Nike cares about. I do find it hard to believe that young people are making major life choices, such as which school to attend, based on who makes the uniform. But we are living in the instagram age and substances has taken a back...

Re: Who stays, who goes?
Are these other P5 schools just way overboard with coaching salaries, particularly the ones who are basically .500 schools most every year or is App just really low with what we pay? Where do we rank with a coaching ROI? I don't think anyone has ever tried to rank coaching ROI. If they did, we woul...

For what it's worth...Josh Thomas did participate in the College Gridiron Showcase. It was held the first week of January in Fort Worth, Texas.
