Re: Stink discussion
We didn’t have to hire a first year coach who needed time to acclimate. We could have hired an experienced, successful winning coach ready to take the next step. DLo talked a great game. We should not be losing to below average teams who come into our field with more fire in their gut than our team...

Re: Stink discussion
As much as I hate watching this abomination of a team, this is D Lo’s first year at App and first year as a head coach. Give the guy a chance. I think it’s both. The OL did not make him throw all the picks in the last several weeks. Most have been on himmountaineerman wrote: ↑Sat Sep 27, 2025 9:21 pmIt’s not Swan it’s OL . Their ol has given him everything.

I don’t think Swann is the answer, but our OL is also terrible. He doesn’t have time to throw

I feel like that’s a direct result of NIL and transfer portal. Brand means nothing anymore. It’s all about the individualmountainman33 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 27, 2025 7:28 pmI can deal with the synergy issues, but it honestly looks like half the guys couldn't care less about being out there.

On the bright side, at least we know our coach isn’t going anywhere next year!

Re: Vol Football (Aguilar watch)
Hypothetical and hindsight remark but I often wonder if we should’ve accepted the ball first last season. Only got the ball first twice last year. Just like today, it would let Joey have no pressure playing from behind rather than nearly always being down 7 to start the game. I don’t think it reall...

App had a heisman candidate and QB and didn’t know it. If only we had a coaching staff at that time.

Re: UNCC Parking
Depending on where you’re coming in from, you can park at one of the light rail stations and ride into Uptown. I’m south of Charlotte so I always park at the South Blvd station. Much easier than dealing with parking near uptown.

Re: DC DJ Smith & App Superstars LIVE Wednesday Night!
Just listened to this and it’s great hearing the pride these guys have in the App State program. When they were talking about former athletes not having access to games, facilities, etc., that is a major issue in my eyes. That seems like it would be a great way to maintain the App State culture thro...

Re: App Transfer Portal 2025 - OUT
To be fair, Satterfield dominated in a weak Sun Belt. Those App teams lifted the Sun Belt and the conference got better as a result. I’m not sold on him being as successful in today’s Sun Belt. I see this argument a lot, but do we really think that this sunbelt is that much better? A lot of mediocr...

Nope. Same article from 12/16. They updated the article to add a disclaimer that UNLV is now pursuing him.Mikeyosef1 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 18, 2024 10:37 am247 Sports posted just 4 hours ago that he is coming to App State.

Re: Dowell's assistants
So some believe that the route for App to have taken was to pay a DC $1m so he’d haul in $2.2m total and report to our HC who is making less than half (with bonuses)? Yeah that’s a desperate move. Don’t believe he’d get his full buyout if he’s making $1mil elsewhere. That’s why typically fired coac...
