Re: Other teams coaches

I also have realistic expectations. But it’s hard to see DLO sticking around if App catches lightning in a bottle this season and the right P4 opportunity pops up.

Re: Roster/Staff Updates

Landing the talent is one part of the equation, which is looking up so far. Getting the kids to buy into the system and gel as a unit is another. I will continue to temper my expectations of what the 2025 product will look like. And please understand: that isn’t a slight against this staff/players; ...

Hoping Njock rehabs successfully and performs up to his potential.
Heaven knows we’ll need it next season.

Re: NIL and future of NCAACF

Whether we agree/disagree on where this thing is headed and how it will look when we arrive, we’re all on this journey together. It’s an interesting ride…not always fun, or good, or bad, but definitely interesting.

Re: GARDENING 2025

You are missing out. Those collards are good. Put a tad of sugar in when cooking . Plant the GS collards with some space cause they grow big. I cut down on my garden this year (from about 1500 sq feet to less than half) because it’s going to be a dry summer and I’m too old to be toting water or mov...

Re: 2025 Baseball Mega Thread

Getting pummeled by a supposedly lesser program, twice , does not enhance my confidence in our coaching staff. They looked like a better team and the score reflected the same. Are we getting out recruited that badly ? Or is it player development? 1-3 against ETSU and Western . Don't forget GWebb an...

Re: NIL and future of NCAACF

I think college athletics will survive. Olympic sports especially. Football, basketball, baseball will probably break away completely in our life times and be some new sort of athletic entity that pays the schools to use their name image and likeness to brand themselves as well as facility usage fo...

Re: Roster/Staff Updates

In this day and age, how feasible is it that an incoming coach intends to move up quickly and recruits kids he can take with him if/when he leaves for a P4? Granted, I don’t have a lot of faith in any coaches ability to catch lightning in a bottle during year one at a school. But who knows what coul...

Re: UCLA football

UCLA made good in the TP this offseason, but still has some question marks. Joey will be surrounded by the best offensive personnel he’s ever played with in Knoxville. So, it’s ride or die time for Joey Dimes. And re: Ponce…his gross ineptitude as an offensive coordinator was exceeded only by his ab...

I’m sad to see Markell go, but proud of the progress he made last season after switching over to OL.
After a rocky start, he made big time improvement. Looks like it’s paid off for him.

Re: Roster/Staff Updates

Joey needs to plan for the future. And since that future is unlikely to involve playing on Sundays, he should get busy building his Amway empire before graduation rolls around. He did mention bouncing for the Octogon. Tell him we’re full up on staff, but he’s welcome to fill out an application and ...

If I am Joey Dimes, I am making contact to see if he can get paid and play somewhere else. You only got one more year left. Someone else may pay him that needs a QB after spring practice.
Well, I hear the Vols have an opening

Keep in mind that some of these kids don’t necessarily want to leave.
Nailed it. Not sure what DLO & DJ have cooking, but it’s clear they’re starting to hand out walking papers.

As poor as App’s overall LB play was last season, can any of us be surprised at the turnover?

Re: Another domino has fallen NIL

Plus - he has never been the standout player that UT hoped for. Last year UT made it to the playoffs with defense - not Nico. He disappeared when they needed him the most and the coach changed from the no huddle fast paced offense to a much slower offense - to help Nico. I currently live in Knoxvil...
