Re: Does culture matter anymore?
Change isn’t easy, right? Given all of the reasons shared above, a bumpy start to this season was highly likely.
OTOH, would we still be crying the blues about NIL and the overall state of college football if App would have had a stronger start?

The leaves up here turned early, some are already falling…I bet they’ll nearly be gone by Homecoming.

Agreed. Can we stop with the FCS talk and the hand-wringing that goes along with it?

Re: Arkansas HC Search
There’s one thing we can all agree on: it’s just a matter of time before this model falls apart. But no one is willing to fix it because the powers-that-be are greedy, selfish people who fear losing money and/or being sued. The only way change ever happens is if the revenue trend declines because fa...

Re: Does culture matter anymore?
Perhaps our staff needs to rethink where we find quarterbacks. There is probably a really good reason why some 3rd stringer at Texas or Alabama is available and hitting the portal. It’s also probably not the greatest idea to be enamored with dudes who are leaving power schools. I get wanting playin...

Re: Does culture matter anymore?
From my post after the Lindenwood game: I know it's early but I'm starting to worry about Coach. The players seem more interested in seeking the limelight then they are in playing good fundamental football. Way too many personal foul's, not protecting the ball, and trying to thread the football whe...

Re: Arkansas HC Search
Will need some deep pockets for the buy-out. I think Florida would have terminated Billy. However, I do not believe the buy-out money is free flowing. As such, it may take some time for some of these schools given how much they (donors) are paying in NIL. I just don’t see how NCSU would be able to ...

Like the static that frequently blew up between fanboys who thought Anderson Castle was great and the naysayers who said he wasn’t?
I suppose we see how that all worked out.

Way to pile on the trauma. I didn’t expect you to be the one adding gas to the fire via a Lindenwood mention…I was waiting for DOTE to do that.GreatAppSt wrote: ↑Sun Sep 28, 2025 3:20 pmFood for thought

The good: Dubinion, Cummings, Ratliff
The bad: [you already know the answer]
The ugly: deja vu on the turnovers and penalties. Feels a bit like 2024...all over again

Re: Boise Discussion - 7:30pm
This is a question for those who have either played football, coached football or simply know the game well: Do you believe that if App had a solid quarterback with a solid OL and DL, that issues at other positions could be worked through? Is my thinking over simplified by saying the OL, DL and qb ...

Re: Boise Discussion - 7:30pm
Honestly, was anyone here really surprised that App lost this game? Let's hearken back to the summertime and recall that nearly everyone on this board penciled this game in as a loss...me included.
But it doesn't make us feel any better, does it?

On a brighter note, Cummings is legit. Hope we can keep that young man on the mountain.
