Man, talk about both squads (and fans) living through the peaks of elation and valleys of despair…all in a span of an hour.

Re: ASU tennis courts
Progress on the 105 project has been glacially slow. Very disappointing.

Re: ASU tennis courts
Those block A’s scream, “we’re so broke, we barely had enough money to finish this project and had to panhandle in front of Local Lion just to raise money for the court lettering.” Had Gillin asked, I bet some of us here would’ve pitched in enough nickels/dimes to give our players something better t...

Re: NCAA and Prig5 anti trust settlement
It’s interesting…where the big TV dollars and athletics budgets were concerned, how many of us frequently felt like App and other peer programs were stuck on the outside looking in?
Viewing how radically the situation will change post-House, being on the outside may not be so bad after all.

An impressive young woman, for sure. I look forward to seeing the direction of the program under her leadership.

IF McCall can stay healthy, he immediately makes them a legit Top 50 team…but not a Top 25 team.

This article couldn’t have come at a better time. For a while now, I was beginning to think people here were running out of stuff to argue about.

With the ACC threatening to self-destruct, I think the Pack has bigger things to worry about than honoring their deal with App.

Re: G5 Poll
In my experience, leading people in performance-based roles is about setting clear expectations, removing obstacles (when/where possible) and focusing on what's within your circle of control.

Re: G5 Poll
Kelly put Notre Dame on probation for illegally contacting players. If you think that is the extent he, and any other P4 coach with a shot at the natty, go to win, cool, you're allowed to believe that. But don't get all defensive asking for proof knowing full well there won't be proof. That's like ...

Interesting to see Missouri at 78, but I suppose being in the SEC West is a big factor.
I wonder how that will impact their rankings this season? Definitely can't help.

Re: G5 Poll
It would be quite difficult to prove collusion, especially given that the entity controlling it all (ESPN) perpetually stacks the deck in favor of the SEC/B10 because it aligns with their objectives (increasing ad revenue). The Mothership doesn't have to collude with anyone in this. So maybe the leg...

Landing Donald is nothing short of a coup for App. Ratchets up the competition at NT, builds depth and gets this young man closer to home. And poaching him from a conference foe doesn't feel too bad, either.

Re: NC lawmakers to force UNC, NC State to play in-state schools
I think if laws like this get passed across the nation, it will just be an added catalyst to push athletics to separate from schools and be their own entity of semi-pro/minor league sports that just use the name and likeness of the schools for their teams. I still think the split from the academic ...

Re: NC lawmakers to force UNC, NC State to play in-state schools
Let's be real...This bill is the legislatures concession to allow NCSU and UNC to go to the SEC and BIG10. If we see it pass without much trouble it means the moves are a done deal and we'll see it happen before SMU, Cal & Stanford are official ACC members so they can't vote against it. This is goo...

It's not as cold up there as it used to be. Speaking for those of us who still spend extended periods of time up there during the winter, I'll respectfully disagree. Not to mention how winter goes on and on and on...much like it does in the northern US. I've lived in Boone full time for over thirty...
