Re: Duke Removes Robert E. Lee Statue
I watched the local news before going to church yesterday. Over 1/3 of the 30 minute program was coverage on confederate statues and protests. Not one mention, NOT ONE SINGLE MENTION, of the six police officers that were shot Friday night. That offends me. If removing these statues serves to unite o...

Re: Parking/Tailgating for Georgia
As a young alumnus, I've always thought that the alumni tailgates aren't worth it and are more suited for the ( dare I say it ) wine and cheese portion of our traveling fan base. They serve their purpose and there's certainly a demand for them, they're just not for me. Going to a different city and...

Re: Parking/Tailgating for Georgia
Also, if you're attending the alumni tailgate at UGA, there's an option to purchase a parking pass ... or there was an option. I registered for the tailgate, $45 for the tailgate and $30 for the parking. I haven't received email confirmation for either yet though my credit card does show the charge...

WF Dickie Hemric passes away
A great story on an old school type of guy. What caught my attention was, “My first choice was Appalachian State,”

Wake Forest for me because playing them in Winston-Salem is like another home game.

Re: Home Game Tickets
Anyone with some insight know if these are selling as quickly as the Miami tickets? "I think the App game is a great game that our fans like it and want it. Their fans want it. They’ll travel to Winston. Our fans will travel to Boone, and it will be a great atmosphere for college football." -WF Hea...

Re: National take on Wake's season
In today's WS Journal by Bret Strelow: “How much of our fans are going to go to Logan, Utah, or how much of our fans are going to go to Monroe, Louisiana?” Clawson responded last week when asked about playing an in-state road game against a Group of Five opponent. “If we’re going to play those games...

Re: Home Game Tickets
They did send email. My Yosef Club emails frequently end up in SPAM and as a result a I miss a lot of them, but have gotten into the habit of looking there more frequently. They need to use a more robust email marketing platform. Mine went to spam until I added the email address to my contacts list...

Re: Home Game Tickets
I drove to Boone and bought mine in person. Waited approximately one minute for the ticket office to open. ![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif)

Re: National take on Wake's season
My wife and I have been at the beach for a couple of days. Yesterday, some people put up a UGA tent next to us. I went over, introduced myself, told them I was going to a game in Athens and asked for tips on parking and such. They were very nice people. A lady in the group came up and started detail...

Re: Bus to UGA game
So far, there's little interest in this due to, I assume, the proximity of Athens. I'll run another two weeks anyway.asualum78 wrote:I'm in if you pick up in Greenville again (3)

Re: National take on Wake's season
I live near Winston-Salem and am surrounded by WF fans so this game ranks very high for personal reasons. As the season approaches, most will realize that WF will bring a strong team to Boone and we will have to play well in all facets to win. WF fans have wanted this rivalry to renew just as much a...

Glad to explore any pick up points. Additional stops will increase the cost slightly.TheMoody1 wrote:Last time to Athens the bus picked us up in Greenville, SC. Would that be a possibility?

Bus to UGA game
Going to test the waters here for interest in a down and back bus trip to Athens. I realize it's not that long of a drive and would be more cost effective to load a car and go. However, this might appeal to those that would be traveling alone or those that don't want to hassle with parking and/or an...
