Re: G5 Poll
Why don''t we just throw NIL on taxpayers? Then everyone will have paid players. Sort of like student loan forgiveness. What's a few more billion among friends. We are 34 trillion in debt so there is no money to give, which is why I don't get why we even pay taxes since they are just printing it no...

Re: G5 Poll
For a while I felt App’s goal should be to make a New Year 6 Bowl game. Now that things have changed, the goal should be to make the playoff, whether we can win it or not. We can’t win the NCAA tournament but we desperately want to get a bid, so why not feel the same about the football playoff. Don...

Re: Another Portal Loss and Portal Discussion
Although I am glad we are mining the portal more the last couple of years and hope all of them work out, I do not get into preseason rankings. Means absolutely nothing to me. Each year is different. The culture of the team will decide our destiny at the end of the day given we have many key coaches...

Glad he's playing closer to home this season. Definitely needed this depth.

Re: Another Portal Loss and Portal Discussion
I have faith in Clark to assess an offensive lineman. My comment is based upon our historical recruiting practices, which at times needed to trend to smaller/quicker players due to availability. Would love for these three to mesh with the others and grind the opponent down in the 4th quarter even w...

Re: Another Portal Loss and Portal Discussion
I’ll take a wait and see approach on all of these guys. One would hope that the staff wouldn’t take someone if they didn’t feel like they could perform in the scheme. I get that they are shiny new toys from P5 programs but what’s in the name on the back of the jersey that should level set expectati...

Re: Another Portal Loss and Portal Discussion
G5 programs will be a feeder system for P5 programs. Many of our better players will take the leap for cash. NIL and portal suck especially for programs like APP. I like it less than anybody, because it takes away what has helped build our successes. The players can't be blamed because of what the ...

Re: Two minute warning, helmet comm approved
Wouldn’t surprise me that the highly successful P5 teams have already been covertly communicating with electronics to players during games. Regarding the use of devices not being connected to other/larger ones: the NFHS has allowed that in the high schools for 10 years or more. My school had tablet...
