Unlike Fox, Smith has a documented history of building programs from the ground up.
Apparently, another "unlike Fox" characteristic he possess is, he doesn't lose to Western.

Well, we did enough to pick up the win 4-2. Great student turnout on a beautiful Boone day

UL @ APP 4/13

So we score 3 in the first and the bats go into deep freeze and we lose 4-3. Frustration.

Re: New PhD program

I hate to mention it, but we made no case for our fiscal responsibility getting conned into a 2 million dollar wire fraud. That's a lousy black eye on what I assume is the model for for fiscal responsibility in the UNC system. I am not calling for it, but I am curious if anyone lost their job over ...

Not going to take the bait and start speaking badly of ECU. I'll just say that when one compares the quality of education and overall experience at Appalachian State University with other in-state schools, we do very, very well.

Re: NCheat State now part of b-ball scandal

I don't get the gloating. A black eye for other schools in our state/system does not make ASU look better. They could probably get dirt on any school in the ACC, and if we were in the ACC they would get us too. I don't see anyone gloating, but why should NC State receive a hall pass for cheating, w...

That's awesome. I usually catch 3-4 Steeler games at Heinz every year.

Couldn't ask for a better organization, and he always looked good in black and gold. :D

Tennessee was one of those losses. Cant remember the other. Freaking Liberty It was actually Ark State 2015. Liberty scored first. Not saying you are wrong, and I was (sadly) at the game, but here is my source stating that we scored first on a Marcus Cox TD. http://www.espn.com/college-football/gam...

It was a nice win. It may be "only" Gardner Webb, but they have impressive wins against UNC and Wake. Hopefully we can keep the bats warm and build on the win. Go Apps!

Yeah, 27 wins per season average is pretty weak. Should have fired him last year.

Tubby Smith to High Point

Big South's High Point University about to land alum and former Kentucky coach, who was fired at Memphis although he won 21 games this season. I say nothing other than good for them.
