Re: South Alabama Coach Pronouncing Appalachian

He’s from South Alabama, give him credit for pronouncing “State” correctly. :D

Re: Troy

The recent Troy games have been hard fought nail biters and this year should be the same. They were not intimidated their last trip to KBS in the Halloween marathon game that we were fortunate to win. While I’d rather whip Ark. State, we really need the W against Troy to make it to the conference ch...

Re: Attendance at Gardner Webb Game

Having 3 straight home games after a UNCC game (4th home game) meant that a number of folks needed to pick one to miss. It was an easy pick. With that said, I hope we get a lot of last minute walk-ups. For those who are there, be loud and proud for our opener!

3-4 inches of rain and 25-30 mph winds. Just another day in the High Country. Seriously, it’s been nowhere near as bad as the storm that hit back in the Spring.

Re: Cliff Dwellers

Funny you should ask, but yes. It’s been a long time (15-20 years). Our 6 year-old son became very sick, as in hospitalized. They initially said too bad, but reconsidered only after they had rented the room. Always think about it when I drive by. Not sure if ownership/management has changed since th...

Re: FLORENCE MIGHT BE A PROBLEM

I'd like to see them offer free admission to the local folks for this one, or at least for Watauga County students plus one. But considering they are still pushing the 4 for $99 deal, it won't happen.

Re: FLORENCE MIGHT BE A PROBLEM

Stay game focused.... Most of the rain may come after the game. http://booneweather.com/Forecast/Boone So here's my question/predicament. I'm planning on coming up for the game on Friday and staying until Sunday. The weather looks beautiful for Friday and Saturday, but am I going to be driving home...

Re: UNCC Game Thread

Great job App fans! The players really appreciated our taking over that place. After the team broke from their meeting at midfield after the game was over, 3 players made a beeline over to the crowd in GA and thanked everybody and posed for pictures, etc... The GA (Birthday) section got so loud UNCC...

According to our attendance figures not many of you guys griping about the schedule actually show up at Holmes. So give it a rest.
Saw 8 last season and expect to see quite a few this year, but the home OOC is tough to watch.
