Re: 4th & 1 foot again?

Since we haven't seen our QB under center for a long time I wouldn't expect to see it anytime soon - I must admit I was a little perplexed by our short yardage calls - the option worked just about everytime but Miller up the middle didn't - I agree with Firemoose here when he says that is the time t...

Re: Price and Lott to play?

WVA- I personally think the 2 in 4 rule is ridiculous because it sends a message that some games are more important than others and we don't want to punish kids for the really important games. Sends mixed messages. But that being said, my main issue here is the appearance of changing a punishment t...

Re: Price and Lott to play?

.Have you ever amended a punishment for your kids or subordinates due to unforeseen circumstances or changes of behavior providing evidence of growth due to a course of punishment? That is the situation that Coach Moore is in. The difference is that Coach Moore isn't reducing the punishment because...

Re: Price and Lott to play?

I do believe the key to any off-season suspension is the 1st game - to work so hard from Dec to Sep and then not getting to take the field with your teammates has to be (and should be) painful ---

Re: Price and Lott to play?

"If the '2 in 4' is the rule than that is fine." asumike - that is the key question here - if it's the rule then the rule was put in place for the "betterment of the team" and this is it's application - however as some on Rivals claim it was not 2in4 and Coach Moore is doing this to have a better ch...

Re: Price and Lott to play?

I feel that this situation at this point in time seems to have been handled properly - some on the Rivals board seem to imply there was no 2 in 4 option for Coach Moore and that the suspensions were from the University which could be true as I have no idea - however if you weight in some existing si...

Re: Mountaineers open as an underdog

We were favored over Villanova and Maine and I'm sure McNeese State as well  . We have to ask the question, "who are we anymore in football?" Any way it is dissected, APP has 3 quality wins in 3 seasons since our championship run: Richmond, Wofford, and GSU. When we've had chances to makes sta...

Re: UTC Quarterback Quits

Tough spot competing against the coach's son. I've seen that type of relationship create havic on a team. This could impact more players than one this season for UTC. Reminds me of the story Al McGuire used to tell - back when his son was playing for him at Marquette the other point guard came to s...

It was BJ Coleman who was drafted by the Packers - was their 3rd QB and signed to practice squad - I saw Robinson a couple of times and he was dangerous and as was stated almost beat GSU by himself

Re: Positives

"There are lots of ways to not directly kick a ball to an opponent on k/o or punts. "

when punting - yes --- with kick-offs it is tricky because you absolutely don't want to kick it out of bounds and give them the ball on the 35 ---
