Re: Marshall v EK

EKU was wretched. This type of game is very hard to read, but if you hold a team scoreless and put up 60-you have my attention. Marshall is good, how good we don't know.

Was it the Best Cellar? Used to be where the Food Lion is now.
I think you’re right, it was the Best Cellar. Anyone remember Chuck’s Hawaiian Steak House? I went to the original when I was living in Hawaii in the late 90’s.
Yeah Chuck's was great and Iwas really sorry to see it go.

Re: help me with a memory

I was in Boone 82 to 86. For some reason, I started thinking about either a KFC or Bojangles in town, on 321. I remember this guy telling me about the Tuesday night special...all you can eat chicken livers, with drink and biscuit, for like $1.29, or some ridiculous price like that. And he was a hus...

2009 at Montana. Heartbreaking. Soul crushing. End of an era.
Was going to post the same. You described it perfectly. It still hurts.

The 2019 GSU game was bad, but we never showed up to play and deserved to lose. It was weird.

I was around then too. I don't remember the KFC special, but I do like the chicken livers. Pretty sure KFC was in the same spot. There were a lot of good pizza joints around, including Sollecito's.

Re: Universities report covid cases in athletics

No surprise. Cases will continue to rise until the country has established herd immunity. We can slow the rate of infection down and prolong the inevitable, but we are not stopping this virus with masks and hand sanitizer. I agree with appdaze, football is going to experience as "asterisk" season at...

Re: Most memorable play ever?

So many memories already mentioned. One play that always stands out to me was the slant to Dexter Jackson at Michigan that went 70 yards for a TD. You could tell they were not at all expecting what they were seeing. Are you not entertained? The silence after Lynch's block. The noise after the JMU fu...

Very happy if they are happy. Wish them nothing but the best. I do hope they can make the move to FBS and maintain success. I have been a fan since I lived in G'boro in late 80's/early 90's.

I love the revisionist history with anything concerning Drinkwitz among those that feel so wronged by the man. I remember seeing and hearing the man plenty fired up.
