Re: Our 2014 Home schedule = Ugh
Not that similar hasn't been said, but bad home schedule years are going to be a part of any G5 conference member. Sometimes the conference schedules just align against you and you end up playing several of the worst conference opponents at home in a year. Then there will be years where the home sc...

Re: For those interested in more about Liberty
Just no to Liberty. It is unlike any other school in the SBC, it doesn't fit, it's a diploma mill and well, just no.

http://www.grandfather.com/dollar-days-special-programs-return-in-april They actually went up on the price again. Website says fee is a whopping $3 for residents this year. Must need some money for a new sign! Was $1 two years ago. Went up to $2. Now $3. It's not going to break anyone but con...

Re: New Hoops Coach WILL NOT Be Bobby Lutz
Whatever with Lutz, kind of glad we didn't hire him. This program is starting from ground zero and I would rather see a younger and less familiar name. The new recruits cannot be part of the decision process, sure we want to keep them(I guess)but we have much larger issues.

You think, then, that the "ultra-liberal rabble-rousers" didn't want to submit the vote of no confidence to a campus-wide vote for roughly the same reason the administration didn't want to submit the move to the SunBelt conference to a campus-wide vote? Apples and oranges of course but please conti...

.... It was the expiration of a contract, it was not a firing. Accuracy is important. Again, it's easy to say he was fired, but in reality his contract was executed to term. He was not fired, his contract will expire as written. Well, try to convince the rest of the world of that. Good luck. Associ...

Re: New Chancellor
Not thrilled at all with the choice but let's see where it goes. Peacock was an insider, now we have an outsider and I have no idea what to expect. UNC leadership made the right decision last time, hopefully we strike gold again.

Re: UNCW terminates basketball coach Buzz Peterson
Makes me happy. The guy is shallow and a loser. He was extremely lucky to cash out at UNC-W but his flaky, crybaby demeanor is going to follow him forever. All he ever had were Jordan's coattails and now he is on his own.

He is definitely bitter that we are leaving the SC, but most everything he wrote is true. We chose a bad year to have a bad year but I think the football program is in much better shape than he seems to believe.

No way. Just no way.
This must be a joke. What would be the point in having a play clock?

Re: Here we go!
I don't understand why we are in such a hurry to schedule UNCC for football. Although it makes sense to play them eventually, why not give UNCC a chance to establish the FB program and complete the second phase of their stadium. So we're going to their place first, to play a game in a 15,000 seat s...

That's no excuse in the least. Why does he need an excuse? Obviously he doesn't but I would except a kid who went through a distinguished academic program as that of Stanford to have bit of class no matter what had transpired in the game or the media the week prior. I would be mortified if that had...

The coach chooses the eleven players on the field, they will decide if there is anyone else in the huddle.

Re: UNC CH athletes who can't read
I think it sucks because it sullies the UNC system. When the flagship institution gets caught cheating on this scale it's a black mark for the state. UNC enjoyed a stellar reputation nationally that they obviously didn't deserve and now they are going to pay the price. They will not be able to white...
