Re: Coastal vs BYU
Not necessarily related to this game but i stated this when CC joined the SBC. They are concerning to me as a school who can rise very quickly due to the access to money that is in the Grand Strand area. Many retirees and quite a bit of wealth in the are, good sponsor opportunities and an area with...

Re: BYU Travel distance to Coastal Cackalina
No-no, it was a great “burden”. They probably travelled by covered wagon across the Great Plains to get to Coastal. Many were lost on their arduous journey of peril.
Breaking news, it’s harder to win on the road than at home.

Re: Theoretical FBS football conferences
I’ve always thought the perfect solution was tying a P5 to a G5 conference and doing promotion/relegation. Football only. PAC-12 ties to Mountain West. SEC to SunBelt. BIG10 to MAC. BIG12 to CUSA. ACC to AAC. Win the SunBelt? Congratulations you play in the SEC next season. Come in last in the SEC? ...

Re: College Gameday to Coastal
Nope, just some people still believe in winning with class and integrity. We just have to work on the winning part now When we beat Delaware in the FCS Natty, their message board was loaded with their fans complaining about how classless we were. When we beat GaSouthern and put a pole through their...

Re: College Gameday to Coastal
Coastal plays mean undefeated ranked football against BYU.
We watch and complain about how big and bad and rough they are.
We’ve lost the edge.

Re: College Gameday to Coastal
Coastal reminds me of how we used to look. They are confident and having fun. McCall wanted to come to App but Drink wanted the guy from California who was never gonna be happy in Boone. We missed out big time on this guy. He is good. The energy and mood is noticeable isn’t it? They look like they’...

Re: College Gameday to Coastal
Confused on if I should pull for the Chants since they are a SB team or be petty and hope they get beat down... how are y'all feeling? Go Coastal. The AAC isn’t respected because they’ve only got UCF. They’re respected because they’ve got UCF, Memphis, Cincinnati and Houston. The SunBelt with multi...

Re: Key to understanding this season
Two observations from 1st Q of games today 1. Western's offense looks more complex than ours. Just made FG. If freshman catches pass. Drive would still going. I realize the will be out manned by heels as game progresses. 2. Maybe Drink utilized our offense from previous years. I do not know. Howeve...

Re: Louisiana at APP Game Day Thread
I was at the game and we lost because: Levi lewis ran for 100 first downs We are a finesse team and suck offensively in bad weather Cant kick a fg when it matters The OC did not throw those INT’s, and the OL is good but not great. Top 10 in the nation OL, not this year, too many penalties and just ...

Re: Louisiana at APP Game Day Thread
I don’t want to watch anymore games this season, but my head will give way to my heart, and my heart will most likely meltdown again, and again if a bowl game awaits. That’s the life of a fan We could be ECU You get to have it meltdown again next year then when we play EZU if we have the same OC Th...

Re: Congrats to the Cajuns
I really would agree with you if I thought they beat us, but again we beat ourselves. Every loss this year has been the same, sloppy play, penalties, fumbles, interceptions, missed field goals. It is a long list of self inflicted mistakes. I guess they do deserve credit for not making the same amou...

Congrats to the Cajuns
I’m as disappointed as anyone but I’ve got say congrats to Louisiana for a good game and their first win over us. I’m a fan of their program when they aren’t playing us and I like the way they do things in Lafayette. We can continue the grievances over in the game thread but I thought it’d be worth ...

Re: Louisiana at APP Game Day Thread
Prior to this season, imagine if someone told you we would get to play Louisiana and they would be incapable of punting.
People on here would have picked us to win by 30 and they’d be right, we should.
That’s my take away.

Re: Louisiana at APP Game Day Thread
Not sure why we did not pass more all night. Middle of field open all night evidently. That is play calling. With that said, we only won one phase of game, special teams.. And even those events out of our control I agree, we never use our tight ends Probably because only one can catch. To be fair E...
