Re: Panthers Hire Baylor’s Matt Rhule

Those were opinion pieces and he has been good at times but he can't stay healthy. He has either missed time or played hurt. The ESPN.com piece was in October. That is just halfway through the year. Remember, the most important ability is availability. Here is the most important link that matters w...

Re: Who stays, who goes?

No to Jones as DC! Why do you say that? Because of his first go at it? You have to realize he was trying to run a traditional 3-4 with 4-3 guys. Now that he's spent time in our current 3-4, knows the best way to run it with our style of recruit (not traditional 3-4 by any means), i think it's going...

Re: Roof out

As with any coach that comes here and leaves, unless you were an App grad or considered part of the App family, once you leave campus, you are dead to me.

Re: Panthers Hire Baylor’s Matt Rhule

As a Panther fan I will be WAY more concerned if they give Cam a new 5 year $150M guaranteed contract. Couldn't care less about the length of the coaching contracts. Those can go away with zero hit to the cap. I think if we can find an affordable way to kick the tires on Cam for another season or t...

Re: Who stays, who goes?

If Riley leaves, that means he doesn’t want to be here, why should we be worried about that? Do date, he hasn’t done anything to blow my socks off. Obviously the pedigree and potential are there, but if I’m basing everything off of his audition at the Bowl game, I wouldn’t be throwing big money at h...

Re: Panthers Hire Baylor’s Matt Rhule

Not a fan of that hire, but hope I'm wrong. Why wouldn't you be? He turned a 1 win team into an 11 win team. It's a perfect fit for him also without the pressure of being in New York. What's the alternative, a re-tread NFL guy? I agree with you. His resume says he can turn things around in 2-3 seas...

Re: Nate Woody

I've seen about 10 posters over the last 6 months claiming that Nate wasn't well liked or isn't welcome back but nobody knows why or can give specific reasons. Sounds like a lot of hearsay until examples are given. I’ll PM you... If it's worth sharing in private, let us all read it, verify and crit...

Re: S & C Mike Kent Back at ASU?

Is Mike Kent back at ASU as Head Strength Coach? :o Does this define you in some way? REVELATION 6:8... I looked, and behold, an ashen horse; and he who sat on it had the name Death; and Hades was following with him. Authority was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword and wit...

He hasn’t figured out how to read posts yet, since discussions about Kent are all over 3 or 4 threads right now.

Re: Roof out

So how is everyone gonna feel when the DC is inevitably App Guy Dale Jones? I’d be surprised if we handed over the defense to a guy who failed at it at a lower level. We are a Top 20 team, we need to have a worthy candidate. I’m all for him being here as a position coach. Weren’t the circumstances ...

Re: Nate Woody

App State is becoming the cradle of coaching. I love it. Gives us a ton of options down the road if necessary because there will be tons of “App guys” with tons of experience. Also makes App an exceptionally appealing place to land for up and coming OC’s/DC’s and position coaches. I agree. There is...

Re: Roof out

Why do you keep arguing a point that isn’t even relevant at this time? I agree we have to give it time. I am not going to pull against anyone. If Shawn brings them in I'll trust it and obviously believe DG and the rest of us have to give it a little time. We are a program who is not in a rebuild. W...

Re: Roof out

At least we knew Ted Roof was the DC before some called for him to be fired. Jones is an “App guy” and we don’t even know he’s going to be the DC and folks are all ready calling for him to be demoted. It’s also odd that for all hatred of Ted Roof early in the season I sure don’t see a lot of folks ...

Re: Roof out

Let’s bring him home Did he interview? Who? Lol I had know clue who BJM was till i investigated for an hour . Hes good though! Unfortunately, I don’t think he would get it. He doesn’t have experience running our variation of the 3-4. From people close to him, it wouldn't be an issue installing thin...
