Re: Who stays, who goes?

We are losing coaches left and right because of money. Our school pays peanuts and for what we do we should be highest paying SBC and top 3-4 among G5 but we aren't even close. Money is the only thing we don't have. Just frustrating seeing this take so long but hopefully Shawn is finding good people...

Re: App St Players at All-Star Games; Congrats to 2 NFL Combine invites

For what it's worth...Josh Thomas did participate in the College Gridiron Showcase. It was held the first week of January in Fort Worth, Texas. Yes he did but he should have been in the NFLPA or Shrine. Those are the #2 and #3 games and he belonged in one of those. CGS is ran very well but consider...

Re: App St Players at All-Star Games; Congrats to 2 NFL Combine invites

Here is the early entry list. Technically 120, not 99 players, have given up a year and entered early. 99 PLAYERS GRANTED SPECIAL ELIGIBILITY FOR 2020 NFL DRAFT 16 additional players who have graduated also eligible for selection The National Football League announced today the names of 99 players w...

Re: Jordan Fehr

Thought I would add this. Here is a little bit about how the NFL identifies who to watch during their senior year because I'm sure some of you are wondering if they don't watch juniors in depth how do they know? I'll explain and this is coming straight from a couple scouts involved in this process. ...

Re: Missouri State to the Sun Belt?

I'd think EKU would be in line first. I know they wanted to come to the Sun Belt, and then the Sun Belt passed on them in favor of Coastal, but I think as a response the Colonels have been busy working on their infrastructure to make another go at it. Just as long as we don't bring in Liberty... I ...

Re: Missouri State to the Sun Belt?

This is the kinda move you make if you want NCAA sanctions and a completely ruined football program. Has Pertrino ever brought NCAA sanctions on a program he was in charge of? He was fired at Arkansas for lying to his bosses. I heard a good Petrino story that came from someone in the building. You ...

App St Players at All-Star Games; Congrats to 2 NFL Combine invites

Congrats to Akeem Davis-Gaither for getting invited to the NFL Combine and to Evans, who will be getting his in the next 10 days or so. Glad for them. They deserve it. Victor Johnson measured 6040 (6'4), 285 pounds at the NFLPA Bowl. He had 10 inch hands, 35 3/4 arms, and a 85 inch wingspan. He is t...

Re: Jordan Fehr

Some of you need to take a break from the boards man. I just read every post in this thread. A lot of personal opinions being thrown around like it's fact. Lot of people hiding their opinions behind "anonymous sources". Feels like a lot of people's sources are their own 2 eyes, and what they see be...

Re: Jordan Fehr

I would think that is something that could be appealed by Jordan if he had an actual medical condition. If somehow our school shorted him of another year of eligibility, that is just wrong on more levels than I care to go. Sounds like someone at the school played fast and lose with a "medical redsh...

Re: #19 In Final AP Poll

Here we are having a positive discussion and someone brings up Laney. I get pissed every time I read his name... Me too. I know this sounds like a fan thing to say but honestly if I were the AD I would call him and ask him not to ever come to a game or come in our facility. He would not be welcome....

Re: #19 In Final AP Poll

Wonder what ole Roach is thinking now? Back in the 70's he told me we would NEVER be able to compete with Wake year-in and year-out. Laney said things like that back in the 90s and early 2000s as well. He thought he would never be able to compete in I-A. That is a good thought. Wonder what he is th...

Re: Way too early top 25

That's all well and good, and at the end of the day it's your opinion. But he wasn't putting a 7-5 team ahead of the 2nd place team in the MWC or the 4th place AAC team. He literally is putting a team coming off a 4-8 season ahead of a 13-1 team returning the majority of the offense and defense. Ah...

Re: Way too early top 25

Let's be honest the only reason McMurphy put Ole Miss there is because of KIFFIN. You use the word safe but I think it's more laziness and apathy to the G5. If you do your due diligence on who is coming back you'd have to like the squad Boise has, Us, and UCF. Memphis is a bit of a question breakin...

Re: Way too early top 25

McMurphy from The Stadium has one G5 in his way too early top 25, UCF at 19. But he does have VT, UNC, OK St, Ole Miss in his top 25. It's pretty standard, the media outlets push for the P5 "names" in their early rankings with no real regard to talent or recent production. This especially true for ...

Re: Way too early top 25

CBSSPORTS.com early 25 doesn't list us but puts the tarholes 25th. Beat Morgan State, 1-0. With Newman and the top WRs gone I fear Wake Forest may not be in the top 40 or so. We may be back to where we were this year. We need to hope somehow Wake Forest wins 9-10 games and Wisconsin loses no more t...

Re: #19 In Final AP Poll

Love it! Sad to see that after an 11-3 season, the Cajuns received just 2 votes from the AP. Shows the overall lack of respect for the Belt. Nothing to do but keep winning. Guess they needed to beat Mississippi State and us to get ranked. ULL did not deserve any votes. They are a solid team but to ...
