Re: Thoughts on today's scrimmage?

They introduced Kerns and family, which was a nice touch. Highlight was the scholly announcement and team reaction. Saw a lot of athleticism as expected, but going full speed and holding back on hitting is necessary but awkward. Offense looked a little better than I expected, though Drink wisely kep...

Re: Field House Bricks

So, word is the contractor working on tearing down the field house is going to be leaving some bricks out for the taking as souvenirs. Perhaps tomorrow (Friday) or Saturday. I'm in Charlotte and can't get up the mountain. Anyone in town or going to be in town who would like to go check it out? A fi...

Re: Men's Basketball Coaching Search

It’s interesting that everybody on this site thinks DG has made excellent choices. Neither of his new hires has played one game yet. It’s not that I’m doubting his ability but shouldn’t we wait and see how it works out? We always have to see how things work out, but nothing wrong with a little opti...

Sent you a pm.
Didn't receive it unless I can't see it on a mobile device?
Ok. I’ll try to swing by tomorrow and check it out. I’m coming to the QC next Thursday so if I can get one I’ll bring it down.

Re: Men's Basketball Coaching Search

Congrats Coach, and welcome to Boone.

There is quite the endorsement from Matt McNahon on Twitter. Check it out if you haven’t. The more I learn about this guy, the more I like. Time to get excited about basketball again!

Re: Who’s going to be in Boone Saturday

I'll be there with wife, son and daughter-in law for the scrimmage and either baseball or softball game. My challenge is to pry my wife away from the Steely Pan Band concert for the WBB game.

Re: Men's Basketball Coaching Search

While I'm hoping for a proven experienced coach like Lutz, whoever gets the job should receive the overwhelming support of students, alumni, and fans. This process should awaken us as a fan base and make us ask ourselves what have we done, and what are we doing to make this job attractive to the kin...

Re: Men's Basketball Coaching Search

I'd be fine with Lutz, but it's interesting that exactly one year ago tomorrow he gave another interview on WFNZ that sounded a lot like the one yesterday.

Saturday is looking good. Scrimmage, talk to players and coaches, check out the construction progress, baseball and softball going on. Right now the weather looks good for the daytime with only possible evening showers. Come on up!

Hoping DG has a big surprise up his sleeve. I know our history and our perceived limitations, but it’s a big world out there. Al McGuire was at freaking Belmont Abbey. Believing in our AD.
