NIT bid coming
NCAA has us at 25-5. Being regular season champions I would hope that would be good enough. I do wish we would stop the non-D1 games but I know why we do it.

Re: FSU threatens to go BIG10

WVU should have been an ACC team long ago - long term rivals with VT, Pitt, Syracuse, UVA, Miami --- Does WVU have the money? They are cutting whole departments on the academic side and the state had peak population in 1950 census. Since then 5 of 8 census counts has the state losing population and...

This is really cool watching the net cutting
That was a quick game so they had some time but I assume it was planned, at least if we won.

The eternal question between the unstoppable force (offense) and immovable object (defense) has been settled today and decided for the immovable object.

Re: More NCAA stupidity; can't make this up

I told my swim coach wife and she immediately groaned, not in support of the swimmer, but knowing the rules are such that the race is not over until it is over for all in the heat and until you stay in your lane and do not celebrate. Refs made the correct call based on every rule organized swims me...

Re: App Receiving Votes…No Longer Just One

Does not the word quadrant imply equal sizes? It seems to mean each quadrant is 1/4 of the whole. They could at least use a more accurate name, such as "A section of the list of teams that has been designed to keep the mid-majors out and the monied schools with resources and every other advantage IN...

Re: Passenger Rail study funding from 2023 Q3 and 2024 Q1

Here in Virginia, the commonwealth is working hard to expand rail trail from Norfolk to Bristol. Big bucks are being allocated to increase the rail time between Raleigh and Richmond, and from Richmond to Washington. I have taken the train from Roanoke/Lynchburg to DC a number of times and prefer it...

Re: Passenger Rail study funding from 2023 Q3 and 2024 Q1

I've never been to Europe, and I've heard many great things about their rail as well as the bullet trains in Japan. However, I rode Amtrak from Atlanta to New Orleans a couple years ago, and it was the worst travel experience of my life. If THAT is what all this money goes toward, it will be a mass...
