Re: Wyoming Game
Well, i doubt anyone needs to worry about altitude sickness. I have experienced both Wyoming v. App at Laramie in 2004 i think, and altitude sickness at 14,000 ft when skiing once in Colorado. Although in Some ways a hangover and alt sickness are similar; except that alt sickness is much worse. By a...

Re: We are 6-8 Last 14 Games
I have been to every game this year, except Texas St. The losses I saw, coulda gone either way. I have been going to App games since the early 1980s; season tickets holder since late 1990s. What do I see this year? An enigma. We had players in place to do good (except maybe for DBs & that woulda bee...

Re: Co-head coach
If I were a GM...I would make a co-head coach for offense and defense. I would judge them on their own merit based on offense and defense stats. Fire one without causing the other problems that is doing his job. Thats the dumbest suggestion ever. Ever heard of the battle of Canae? The Roman legions...

Re: Hate Week 2023
I don’t know about this being the most vitriol that our boys have faced. Maybe this year but the Louisiana student section is one of the worst environments around. I could not disagree with you any more. How many Ragin Cagin games have you attended in Lafayette?? I was at the CCG game last season. ...

Re: No canned, all BAND
We have Black Saturday(I feel every game day is Black Saturday but I digress) but I would like to see a throwback one game per year as the  "no canned all BAND!" game. And let the BoD blow it out, mic em up, give it hell, and their all for App until the W and the last note of the Waltz...

Re: Was it that “Ah Ha” moment?
Well, I think there was an "ah - ha!" moment in this game. But, unlike all others it was subtle (sort of) and indirect. It has to do with App's O-Line. I want to go back tonight and re-watch what I saw in person. But, live time, it looked to me like for the first qtr and a half, App's O-line was jus...

Re: Gameday... anybody got some sandpaper?
Bob Morris lost 48-0 to a Gardner Webb team who came in at 1-4. Can we just cut them a check and get someone else to take their place? Setting up to be the worst opponent we have faced since the Wofford Halloween game. Ha! One of my favorite games all time. If i recall correctly, it was 14 to 14, a...

Chance of heavy winds and rain. Check.
Chance of flooding. Check.
Chance of landslides. Check.
Chance App State plays football. Check.
I’ll be there.

Re: Miss Manners question
Miss Manners is a unc grad so she cannot relate. Just sayin. Her alma mater is actually Wellesley College, though her two children help with the column now and I am not sure if and where they attended college. Oops! Sorry, i shoulda had my sarcasm font on hightest, cause you obviously missed the hu...

Re: KB makes top 10 list of loudest stadiums
I disagree with all these. The loudest stadium is not even listed. Ive been to Texas AM, Michigan, NC State, Florida, So. Car., Penn St. and of course KBS. The loudest I ever experienced was at Montana. Somewhat the equivalent to standing right behind a jet sitting on the tarmac with engines roaring...

Re: Unprecedented National Attention
This is a great chicken and egg question!! Kudos to appfan4863. It seems to me that without the Michigan win App woulda never got invited to play in College Station. That win in Ann Arbor was epic and was a stepping stone in lotsa ways. Unlike back in 2007, today we hava 2 deep to rival SEC schools ...

Re: T A&M
Yes, the A&M fans were top notch. Very friendly and the traditions in that stadium are too cool. It was a great experience if you could get past the heat.
