Re: Derrick Transfer
Has the athletic department started Baldwin's Heisman campaign for 2019, yet? My understanding is that the department is launching the Zac Thomas for Heisman campaign. Of course, after winning it Zac will be a first round draft pic and then Baldwin will win it in 2010 . We're following the Oklahoma...

Re: Avoid Like the Plague
Didn't UTA have turnover in their AD? The new guy came in with an agenda and supposedly had a deal already made through his buddy network. I might be remembering incorrectly. When UTA lost in the conference tournament, the AD pulled the trigger. Pretty ridiculous. Nevermind. A quick check shows Bak...

Re: 2019: What are you looking forward to?
In my original post, I forgot to mention revenge against the rednecks from gnatsboro. Hope we stomp a 10 foot mud hole in them, step back and then stomp on them some more. GTH Iggles. GO APPS!! I forgot to mention that also but that's a given, isn't it? That's like saying that I'm looking forward t...

Re: 2019: What are you looking forward to?
I'm excited to see whether Coach Drink and his new staff can mix things up just enough to make things REALLY difficult on our opponents. Not complaining about the former coaches at all but I do think we have left options on the table and a more balanced approach can make us almost impossible to defe...

Re: Derrick Transfer
Baldwin will be a redshirt for 2019 according to the coaches. He will play in 4 games max unless something goes horribly wrong. I think we'd better hope he's not the #2 by week 1.

Re: Derrick Transfer
I hate to see him go but I wish him the best. He will most likely land with an FCS program (not D2). I think Derrick is a solid QB and I hate that the GS went off the rails. Unfortunately, this is the new reality....and it's not even all that new. When I highly recruited athlete winds up getting sta...

Re: Ga Suthin game
I disagree with the statement that he had done nothing to deserve the extension. That statement is only true if the only thing you consider is W/L column. I get that that is important, but he brought the team back from APR perdition and increased the talent level. He had an incoming class (including...

Re: App BB v. Manhattan Jaspers (1-2) Fri. thru Sun. Smith Stadium
Here's a trivia point (although disputed). Manhattan College's Brother Jasper (the origin of their mascot) is credited with the "invention" of the 7th Inning Stretch. Baseball has a long tradition at Manhattan. I agree that a series win or even a sweep shouldn't be extrapolated too much, any more th...

Re: Ga Suthin game
It doesn't matter what Gillin decided to do, or what he decides to do now. Someone will believe he could have handled it better. That's the nature of the job. He's doing a fantastic job in my opinion. The Fox extension certainly didn't work out the way I hoped and I imagine Gillin feels that way als...

My understanding is that they weren't drunk. No alcohol was involved. No fighting. No drugs. Bunch of guys getting to loud and rowdy apparently....at least according to the folks on the other message board.

Re: Stink Players Arrested
Based on the article and discussions on CSNBBS, there was not violence, drugs or alcohol involved. Sounds like kind of a non-event.

Re: App State represented in NFL Draft
It's interesting seeing them call out Moore's ability as a receiver out of the backfield as a strength. I had seen other analysis saying that is a weakness. I always thought he was pretty darn good out of the backfield myself.

Hopefully Parker can help give Murray some time to throw more TD passes to Malachi. They need some help for sure.

Re: Gordon's Fisherman Logo and App-Ah-Lay-Chun
I'm not sure how ESPN is allowed to create their own logo for a team. I can't remember now what the original use for the stylized logos was but ESPN created them for everyone, not just App. I would assume that since our conference's broadcast/tv contract is with ESPN, they have a working relationsh...

Re: 2019 would you rather
You start with the premise that we go 10-2. I know our goals are to win SBC and bowl. I have repeatedly stated our "additional" goals should now be make NY6 and win it. It is a guarantee that two losses will absolutely eliminate us from making the NY6, probably one loss therefore in your scenario w...

Re: Dear Coach Drinkwitz
By App standards their record in 2018 was poor, but for a team in their state of development, 5 wins is pretty decent. Those wins included WKU, ODU, Florida Atlantic, and Southern Miss. None of those teams are at their peak, but those decent wins. Trying to paint Charlotte as the worst of FBS is pro...
