Yep, the ETRY still runs over 7 miles in Johnson City, TN and connects to both CSX and NS it seems. I have posted enough that everyone knows how much I love trains and railroads and their history.

A few take aways. One, trees do grow back, but don't denude a mountain side.

Two, I really wish Boone still had a train. Maybe someday Amtrak will go to Asheville and I can ride Amtrak to Hickory and find some other way to get to Boone in time for the game.
