Would like hear how Corey Sutton is doing?
He hasn’t practiced yet.
Reason?
Can’t speak to the reason. Just know he hasn’t seen the field.

Re: Transfer Portal

Players leave, or choose to leave, for a number of reasons. Playing style, playing time, cultural fit, personal reasons, off the field/court issues. Not sure that you can place the blame on any one thing or person without hearing the whole side. It happens.

Maybe this will keep a couple of the guys on here from jumping off the roof :>)
Doubtful. And I agree that the extension is nice but it won’t stop him from leaving. Hope DG increased the buyout as a precaution.

Re: Spring Practice

Love Ethan’s reporting. Pretty good stuff. The thing that was intriguing to me was what he didn’t say. Most notably about the QB competition.

So on the main appstatesports site it shows #1 making a catch - since there isn't a #1 on the current roster listing I am guessing it is one of the freshmen WRs - Also on the twitter feed it shows #7 passing the ball - anyone know if that is Brice or Tabscott?
Pretty sure Brice is #7.

Re: Article: App State Twitter Divide

Sorry that you find the tweets from Yosef Club employees/members an issue. You, of all people, have spent enough time around the school and program to know that it takes money to be successful. My issue with the Twitter group is that they come across in their fandom very naive in their position. The...

I would like the golf bag...would be nice to see if they would take orders and buy at one time for known quantity so no unsold items
I have been told that golf bag availability is part of the plan.

Re: Article: App State Twitter Divide

Complaining about a problem seldom fixes it. Action is a much better route. Squeaky wheel gets the grease... If that were true, we would have more than enough Yosef Club members donating to fully fund the scholarship program, along with covering the cost of a number of projects for the athletic pro...

Re: Article: App State Twitter Divide

I had a Boss at one point. Another App grad. He told us as a group that his door was always open if you had a complaint or needed to just talk. He followed up with, “but don’t come to me with a problem unless you have thought of a solution to the problem. It doesn’t have to be a great, or even good ...

Re: Spring Practice

Very true that too many transfers can cause a cultural issue. Our culture and tradition has afforded us the opportunity to have a good amount of kids looking to transfer, to reach out. It is an easier when we have a prior relationship with a kid through previous recruiting. In the cases where we do ...

Re: Article: App State Twitter Divide

There is an assumption in this thread that Neer Twitter is somehow to blame for our donation woes. Some thoughts: 1. Neer Twitter isn't the reason the Yosef Club is underfunded. Most of them seem to be current students or very recent graduates. We've had decades before these kids were born to fully...

Re: Spring Practice

Also, people need to get used to the idea that bringing in transfers is a normal part of how you build a roster now. It's not an outlier or a sign of a crisis. We brought in transfers at RB and safety too; doesn't mean we think Cam Peoples or Kaiden Smith can't play. Excellent points! I bow to your...

Re: Spring Practice

First question- if Brice does win the job doesn’t he really have 2 seasons remaining if he chooses to play? Second question- are we ever going to trust our highly (somewhat at least) paid and experienced coaching staff to actually evaluate and play the best available QB on the roster? I’m sure old ...

Re: Spring Practice

Ok i get all the above but where would we have been if Brice hadn't transferred? Im glad he's here dont get me wrong but the fact that he is here to me suggests neither Shuler nor Tabscott were ready and that is what concerned me. Brice wasn’t the only option to transfer in. We were talking to mult...

I try not to get excited about mid-week games either way.In my mind it's for developmental purposes.Win the week ends!
Last night was intended to get some bullpen guys some work. They weren’t used much this past weekend.

Re: Spring Practice

Agree with the statement above. The guy that gives us the best chance to beat ECU will start. The next most capable will be the backup.
