Game Filming

Does anyone know how games are recorded by the athletic staff these days now that 16mm and video taping (VHS) have become obsolete? If it's digital, as I assume, is there a compatibility issue in exchanging recordings?

Re: Athletic Sideline Treatment Tent

Piece of advice for everyone pointing to HIPPA as justification, stop! It does not apply in this setting. Isn't HIPAA regarding medical records, or at least the part that is being talked about here? If that's the case, then HIPPA is just being used as a scare tactic. Not a fan of that $7,000 price ...

So Reaves only lasted five days on the job. At least the article didn't mention he had played at App.

Re: #14?

Who will wear #14 for the 2017 season? Whoever it is, my bet is he will be special. Not a fan of retiring any jerseys. I would rather schools recognize player names and the years they played in stadiums. I want players to give their all for the school and honor the GOATs that wore the same number b...

Re: Ringling Brothers Circus to Close

Once they had to ditch the elephants it was just a matter of time. I think you're right. I took my then 10 year old to see a small circus at the Cabarrus Arena near Concord last year. It was the last time that particular circus was having elephants. He actually got to ride an elephant. He was thril...

Ringling Brothers Circus to Close

Just another memory from my childhood going away. Nowhere left to run away to: The final days of the circus On Saturday, officials of the company that owns the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus announced that it will close in May, ending a 146-year run that dates back to a time before automo...

New Charlotte Soccer Stadium Would Cost Taxpayer $100 Million

http://www.charlotteobserver.com/news/politics-government/article126080274.html When the Minnesota United, one of Major League Soccer’s expansion teams, reached a deal to build a new stadium in St. Paul, the team agreed to pick up much of the tab. Under an agreement approved in March, the soccer tea...

We're only one notch above the SoCon? That's hard to believe and CUSA is 23rd? Is that a mistype?.

Re: Euthanasia and Pet Cremation

Sorry for the sad news NewApp. My wife and I accepted a Springer Spaniel/Cocker mix from a fellow church member about 3 months after our marriage. Muffin was 9 months old and the last of the litter. He allowed us to have her due that most of the litter mates were killed by careless drivers going to...

Re: Euthanasia and Pet Cremation

Just had to put my dog down due to a tumor in early December. Pet cremation places are wonderful and very courteous and loving. I recommend it. It will give you peace of mind. I have my dog's ashes in a sealed wooden container on my living room credenza. Sorry to hear that. I still miss my ole fait...

Re: Euthanasia and Pet Cremation

As long as the vet says she's not in pain, I don't think it is inhumane to let her bring you joy a little longer. I got another month-and-half with Bailey, before we had to let her go. It's a tough time, but it helped me prepare. I was in such shock that I don't remember what the vet said about whe...

WOW! $2500. I can tell you must not be living on a teacher's retirement pay. Thank you for making up for what I can't afford to give. Thank goodness we have generous alumni like you.

Re: ECU vs APP

I am not saying that is what it will be, i am saying i think that's what it way, hopefully they learned. You can park at the light rail station for free, ride the train for $3 roundtrip and walk 3 blocks to the stadium, ride the train back. Just saved you the outrageous parking. If I can scrape up ...

Euthanasia and Pet Cremation

I just found out today in an appointment with my cat's veterinarian that my cat, Bessie, has lymphoma. She has been my loving pet for around 12 years. When I can get over the shock, I'm planning to have her euthanized and considering cremation afterwards. Has anyone on this board had a pet cremated?...

Re: ECU vs APP

They really thought they were going to have a great walk-up crowd based on the proximity and number of SCar fans in clt. Of course unc always has fan support. Was not a lack of interest, people were upset with the prices. I think, not positive, but the cheapest ticket was $70 and that was upper lev...

Wrong
So you think BofA Stadium is letting us use the stadium for free?
