Re: Slop on the rock
I personally want to embarrass every single opponent we play. Yep. That's what, "sandpaper their asses," means to me... Omg I forgot about "sandpaper their ass" Because...... in the last 6-7 games( jmu, Troy, unc, wku, uL) I saw it once in Texas "Sandpaper their asses" and "Bombs over Baghdad" -- w...

Re: Slop on the rock
I just wish I could figure out what the whole "Bombs over Baghdad and sandpaper their asses" philosophy actually looks like -- is this it?

Re: Stadium Expansion
I thought the handicap lot was up Hill Street in the "Hill Street Lot". Small Holmes Center Lot is for season ticket holder parking. Ahh...you might be correct. I haven't been by that lot in years on gameday so I remember the handicap busses always picking up right on the sidewalk in front of Holme...

Re: Stadium Expansion
Not sure where planned as I do not follow university planning. If not spoken for, put one up by baseball field where no one can see it. .....or required a substantial amount of greenery to hide them as much as possible One will be going in the lot behind Holmes...the "handicap" lot for Football gam...

Re: Guest picker
Since Gameday flies guest pickers in via Wheels Up, could a plane that size land at Boone Airport (landing strip)?..if said picker doesn’t already live in town, that is. Smaller 6-8 passenger jets (citations, that sort of thing) can land at Boone with relative ease. They generally would only want t...

I've heard that as well. Kinda nervous. Like "real" DJ (hip twenty-something from Brooklyn) or Steve the Bar Mitzvah DJ?appgrad2010 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 02, 2022 2:29 pmI read a DJ will be in charge of music, this could be great or a epic fail.

Re: Appstate Endzone Camera
Looks like a screen has been installed on top of the NEZ. Loved it when we did this for the Miami game. GO APPS!! Where was the screen at during the Miami game? Somebody correct me if I’m wrong, but it was in the NEZ, on the west side of Owens Fieldhouse. GO APPS!! That is correct...it was down in ...

Re: Mountain Brew - App beer
I assume that we're going to be basically receiving the same R&D product used for Storm Brew and Deacon Brew. GoAPPS93 and Highland are both right about this one...R&D is going to be willing to put in the leg work to secure better off the mtn distribution deals than AMB had with Yosef Ale, especiall...

Re: Online Grad at App include Athletic fees?
Curious if anyone has done online grad school and if that would include student access to games? Just got accepted so was curious. Not sure if anything has changed but I completed my MPA in one of the "off the mountain" cohorts in 2011, in a seated format, and I did not pay any athletic fees...so n...

Re: Coach Moore Statue and Plaza Dedication
I would have purchased one if it had been a bit cheaper. I love App and all that Jerry Moore did for us but personally I have to balance athletic giving with academic giving at App (and academics always wins that argument for me by at least $1 every year.) I spend more on athletics with tickets and...

Re: The End of Miller Hill?
Are we sure these temporary bleachers are going over the actual hill itself? I could also envision using the expanded pavement area and going up and over the restrooms on each side of the scoreboard, with a tunnel underneath for foot traffic. JMU used to have the same setup in their endzone - with t...

Re: Sun Belt Men's Soccer
I don’t disagree with you. Just stating what he said. Could have been his way of saying that he wasn’t interested in bringing it back. It could also mean that in his mind, the only way to bring it back it with an on campus facility. I definitely think an on campus facility would be necessary. The M...

Re: Sun Belt Men's Soccer
I spoke to Joey Jones in the press box at the ECU game last fall and asked about soccer. He laughed off the question and made it apparent bringing back soccer wasn't in the cards. A lot has changed since then and this league looks really good. It would behoove us to seriously consider bringing the ...

Re: 2022 Season Tickets
Just heard from a friend who is a 3/4 decades long season ticket holder who has completely cut bait with the athletic department over all the financial changes this off-season. It doesn't appear that it was so much as the sheer #'s themselves, though she does operate on what I assume to be a fixed s...

Someone asked me about a watermelon cutting tradition at App that was supposedly a thing back in the 60s. Told him I would ask here. I've never heard of it. Anyone know about something like this? My curiosity is up now. Thanks! Wayyyy before my time...but I assume some sort of drug reference? Surel...
