Re: Portal season (Abson, Spillers, etc)
I have absolutely NO inside/outside/anyside information but I just have a gut feeling that with almost the entire team in the portal something is going on there to cause this exodus - something other than "greed" is causing some of these departures -

Re: Portal season (Abson, Spillers, etc)
"Several years ago, Coach K developed the “one & done” recruiting mode to get the best talent. Perhaps in order to get the best talent we’re moving into a “one or two & done” recruiting mode." Not that it makes any difference whatsoever - it wasn't Coach K who developed the one and done - He hated i...

Re: Portal season (Abson, Spillers, etc)
I think to survive this environment we must take each season as a separate entity. Nobody knows what is in store a year from now. It was a fantastic basketball season and getting to see most all games on ESPN+ was a blessing. The football season ended on a high note. I enjoyed watching every game. I...

Re: 2024 Baseball Mega Thread
Hey - many of us have taught high school kids (and younger) to bunt - that should not be a problem with college players ---

Re: 2024 Baseball Mega Thread
This is for 311 - I was watching the game, middle innings before the lightning delay and App got the first two men on (1st and 2nd) no outs - bottom 3rd of the order coming up - no bunt, no moving the runners up - three straight fly-ball outs to the outfield - I immediately thought of you and if you...

Re: 2024 Baseball Mega Thread
Bummer. Wild arms are now in. Tough series for us. 14-6 B6. We need to get back to Boone fast and start playing some home games, this schedule is ridiculous. I was watching WVU - Ohio St. earlier and the announcers were saying WVU was playing their 19th game but only 5 at home and Ohio St hasn't pl...

Re: 2024 Baseball Mega Thread
Good win! The broadcast of the two games might have been the worst of any college game I have seen. Announcer was mostly clueless and couldn't keep up with who was at bat or what positions they played. Camera person was awful. Fly balls to left or right and all you saw was the CF trotting over to b...

Why in fu k would any APP fans say the other team deserved to win - Jesus H. Tapdancing Christ - Pathetic excuse for a fan
And stop calling out individual players saying their play cost the game -
Piss poor

I certainly hope Coach Kerns stays but if did leave I would love to see him at WVU... I'd hoped that would've been Coach Satterfield first landing spot

Re: 2024 Baseball Mega Thread
311 - speaking of small ball, I watched the perfect example last night in the WV-BYU game. WV was ahead 1-0 going into the bottom of the 8th. Batter #1 walked - Batter #2 laid a bunt down the first base line. BYU hoped it would go foul, it didn't - batter #3 with beautiful sacrifice bunt toward 3rd,...

Re: FSU threatens to go BIG10
You guys are all correct about what is happening in academics at WVU and also about the economy - Absolutely no hard feelings about these comments. The one thing that can't be taken in account is the huge numbers of West Virginians across the nation who follow WVU and watch all games. I have friends...
