Re: NCHSAA: NC Prep FB Moved To Feb

I can see many committed Seniors graduating after first semester, skipping the winter season, and enrolling in college spring semester. Not sure much will change. Guys who graduate in December and planned on enrolling early will and guys who planned on finishing the whole year will play. Players wh...

Re: Schedule

CLT at App on 9/12. https://twitter.com/i/status/1293688994669178881 So if we can get past the KBS is the best stadium in the world, and Boone is better than Concord stuff just for a minute, I wonder why we are playing in Boone? Unlike us, our ADs are professionals and there had to be some quid pro...

Hmm, Army & FIU have openings which match up with us on 9/12 & 9/19. I wonder if we've had any conversations with them this week?

Re: Big Ten Done

It's a fluid situation now. If the ACC & SEC get the Big 12 to play, it may cause the B1G to change their "decision" prior to that decision being announced .

Re: Turf Replacement Pics

My observations from today. Not exactly sure what the purpose of the asphalt edge is but I guess there could be several purposes including future adding a couple of rows towards field?? Who knows? NEZ is way behind. I realize the building wasn’t supposed to be completely finished but based on 30 ye...

Re: Yosef Email re: COVID seating

In terms of season tickets, didn't we have around 8,000 last season? I recall seeing back in the spring we had sold 6,500 for this season. So if we use 7,000 as a rough figure and allow 7,000 students, that would put us around 50% capacity, depending upon the capacity number used.

This thread made me think of the following quote:

“There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies and statistics.” - Mark Twain

I'm not disputing anyone's statements or stats.

Re: I hope this has legs. Expanded playoffs

I'd like to see a move to 8 teams in the playoffs. Our in the P5 conference champs, the top G5, and 2 at large bids. Best of all worlds. Places a premium on P5s winning their conference, allows 1 potential Cinderella story anually, and 2 more to account for teams that lose their conference title in...

Found it: https://www.appstate.edu/appalachians-future/building-physical-infrastructure/stadium/ Construction began in September 2019. Currently, brick work on the exterior is underway. As work progresses around the building, curtains will be put up to provide heated space for workers. Within the ne...

Re: NEZ work today

Could it be there was a miscalculation of load bearing. Just quick math - 1,000 people with average weight of 175 lbs - that would be 87 tons of weight for the cantilever to support. (I would need a 110 lb. person to average me out). I thought it was so they could add a cover over the seats down th...
