Re: Insights from the enemy.
I think in this game, it is going to be very important to have a healthy Mr. Stringer. Boggs and Flory will need to have good games also.

Re: Insights from the enemy.
In looking at all the available info, I think Toledo's cfp playoff ranking may be a bit inflated based upon their 10-2 record. Their strength of schedule is one point below ours (we are 120 and they are 121), and besides Miami, their non-conference opponents were FCS Elon, and Nevada (3-9) and Tulsa...

Re: Lines for App v Toledo
Okay, so Sagarin has us as almost 8 point underdog, Massey has us as a 9 point underdog, and ESPN says we are an 8 point underdog. Toledo is pretty disappointed in having to play an inferior opponent...
Plenty to prove for us.... God I hope we show up and give them all they want and more.

Re: Lines for App v Toledo
This could be very interesting. Looking at some preliminary info, they should be favored. They have a better record, beat more teams with winning records, and only had one wtf moment with Ohio. However, the way we have played in the last three games shows that we are becoming the team we all thought...

Re: Appalachian English explained
Interesting article; however, with the exception of the *'un example, all or most of the other wording and pronunciations are prevalent through the rural south. When I showed up in Boone, the only term I couldn't figure out was "you'uns" which I think was more of a Linville, Spruce Pine, Little Swi...

Re: Getting line for La La game
I think this is going to be an interesting game. If you look at common opponents, we are 4-1 and they are 3-2 with the head scratching loss to Georgia Southern. Both of us lost to ULM in high scoring close, games. Apparently they have an offense that can score points, but defensively we are trending...

Re: Armanti Edwards in CFL Grey Cup today
Man that was a tough atmosphere (blizzard the first half). Almost reminded me of the Montana playoff game several years ago. At least this time he was on the winning end. Way to go Armanti!

Re: Time management
I thought clock management was a problem on several occasions last year. I don't recall a time when I've really felt it was a problem this year. Our clock management late against Wake, for example, was excellent. Didn't really think yesterday was a clock management issue, but I guess once you get a...

I know Scott likes to keep this quiet, but has anyone heard about our injuries and if we are getting people back?

Re: Biggest weekend in a while for App State Football
I think we better be ready for a physical game. I hope we have people back from injuries and are prepared to punch them back. I am sure SHAWN Elliot will have them psyched and ready to play.
If we come in rusty or thinking this is a gimme, it could get ugly.

Re: Biggest weekend in a while for App State Football
This weeks game is interesting for a number of reasons. As it has been all year, we cannot sleep on Georgia State or we will get beaten. Can't understand how they lost to FCS Tenn State the first game, but are undefeated in common opponents (including Louisiana Monroe). Their only conference loss is...
