Re: Petition to move App/GaSo to Saturday
Playing GS on Rivalry week makes sense on the surface, but playing them during the Thanksgiving break while students are off campus would probably not give us the lift we are hoping for.

You may want to include that Fox guy too. I forgot about him until now!!! People swore he was the promised lands Fox got us out of the academic mess the Capel hire got us into. I'll give him that. Methinks that was his primary mission at App. I'm among those who really believed that Fox would get i...

Re: ESPN+ - App/Sunbelt needs to negotiate with ESPN+
10,000 is not much to a company and it is deducted as a business expense. True cost is about $7,000. Yes, I think many would buy. Are our numbers released on how many are watching our games on ESPN+? $7,000 would be a deal if the add ran every time we had a commercial break. Well, unless it is Amaz...

Re: An Interesting Take on 2020
It's the off season so this is the type of thing fans do...diving into stats and metrics to attempt to predict the next year. None of the models are particularly accurate at this stage because there simply isn't enough data. Attempting to impose context on all the teams in the FBS is a huge undertak...

Re: An Interesting Take on 2020
Lots of returning production from a 5-7 team is probably an indicator that they have a good shot at making a bowl this year but I think it's a jump to say they are a threat just yet. Never know though. Any team is a threat if we don't show up and play our game.

Re: Red Cross
Have been giving blood to the Red Cross for the past 53 years. Not bragging, it's just that my Dad did, too and almost insisted that I follow suit. For the past decade, they have let me know relative specifics on where it went. Last one went here: Thank you for giving blood with the American Red Cr...

Re: Hmmmmm
Come on, folks. There is a difference is press conference persona where he is talking about game prep vs. a miscellaneous recruiting video. We never saw him complete a recruiting cycle at App so we really don't have anything to compare this with. His approach to games was a "business as usual" appro...

Re: Liberty series
McL. I'd rather give the Falwell clan funds (no pun intended) than what we enabled UNC-CHEAT to make off with because all we NC taxpayers are vested in those creeps. Having said that, I have taken a half dozen or more classes at Chapel Hell. Of course I had rather neither get a dime from us.. You m...

Re: Florida flip
I guess in the technical sense, it might have been a flip in that he changed his decision but the reality is that it wasn't a one for one decision. I would view it as a true "flip" if he had a scholarship offer (regardless of position) and had verbally committed. It's all semantics though and nobody...

Re: Back To Early Spring Ball!
I always figured our reasoning behind it was to acclimate guys to the elements more so than time to recover... Boone Feb weather helps prepare for Boone November/December weather. The Georgia Southern game was cold... the wind had a lot to do with our offensive problems but it was the first App gam...

Re: Wisconsin/Oregon
Most of the Wake fans I know take App as a very serious threat and nobody has indicated that they thought next year's game would be anything other than a tough, close game. No doubt there are Wake fans with attitude toward App (and any other G5) but I seriously doubt their football team and staff ar...

Re: Luke Combs-SNL Musical Guest Tonight 2-1-20
I watched the video on YouTube of him performing on SNL. I freeze framed on the cap as best I could but it was very difficult to read. It did look like it said App State Football but the logo didn't appear to be an official logo (Bloc A or Victory Yoself) so maybe that was just wishful thinking. He...

Re: Losing Another one to the Transfer Portal
Really afraid that the shear numbers of this list will lead to personnel concerns later down the road. If I could have back any of the ones listed, I'd take Collins, Brown and Burnette. The rest are just normal attrition IMO. We're currently at I believe 81 or 82 scholarships filled, so overall num...

We have officially exceeded our win total from last year and we haven't started February yet. I like what I'm seeing. It's great to have a basis for actual HOPE instead of having to wishful thinking!

On Mountaineer Talk, Angel said they had made some changes to become more aggressive on defense. Looks like it's paying off! Great win!

Looks like a strong staff with solid experience from my perspective. Last year Drink seemed to like a very "steady" approach...businesslike in his preparation to games. That's a good thing sometimes but I think he got us in trouble on Halloween. I get the impression that the intensity and emotion m...
