Re: AD Search Update?
He did. He touched briefly on facilities improvements over the past 8-9 years, and the waiver request. He said they did it for the 14 seniors and the fans that would enjoy a bowl experience. I suppose he has been reading this board as he specifically mentioned "we knew what the rules were going in"....

Re: Espn 3 today
The announcers loved App today. Basically argued that we had a claim to be the best team in the conference. I agree that, the way we are playing that we could make a very good case. Didn't hear it myself. They doubted us to the wire. I missed Al Groh. The 4th quarter they were very complementary. M...

Me too but I am a Steelers fan that wasted a couple of years watching the pathetic Canthers. I hope DeAndre finds a good fit even it's Baltimore. I have no love for the Bojangles Canthers.WVAPPeer wrote:I hope De'Andre does well and I'll be pulling for him ---

Re: De'Andre Presley
I've anyways thought DeAndre was faster/quicker than Armanti. I wouldn't be surprised if DeAndre starts returning punts for Carolina. He has a quicker first step and second and third and fourth. DeAndre was one of the fastest APPs we have ever had. I don't care what the stats may say but I would be...

Re: Sure is fun to read
It's not like these games are major broadcast productions. Unless the review officials have additional camera angles that they don't show the viewing audience you can't always get a better view than what a properly positioned official has. I never saw a definitive camera angle on Cox's fumble. Was h...

Re: Sure is fun to read
Bottom line is that App dominated them. Instead of complaining about the refs, their fans should just be grateful we handed them a couple breaks late and they were able to make the final margin look respectable. As far as the replay overturns, I actually thought all three were correct. (That is, th...

Re: Home and Home vs Wyoming
There's nothing about Laramie worth mentioning. The trip there from Denver can be a nice little excursion if you stay off the interstate. One thing that sticks out other than how poor App played, and the storm delay, was that their stadium parking area was a gravel lot. And of course, their school c...

Re: Why in Hades are We Playing
I wonder if the negative reputation of our departed athletic director has had a bearing on our poor home schedules? Or are there other reasons we're having trouble getting quality opponents to come to Boone? I am aware there were some internal matters and some questionable decisions made by Cobb. I...

I like David Jackson as much as anyone here. I would not be surprised if he has other opportunities he is not talking about. No need for a franchise tag. No such thing in Boone.

Re: AJC Report: Cobb New Ga. St. AD
Although I don't know that Rick would be the top choice were we to conduct a true national search, he was very well respected as Conover's city manager. And believe it or not, Conover is far from a slouchy gig compared to the municipalities in which many of our grads serve as town managers. From an ...
