Re: Apps v Hampton
Thought that was a really impressive showing for Coach Fox and company. The team rebounds very well and for the majority of the night limited Hampton to 1 shot. There will be growing pains but we are very lucky to have Coach Fox.

Re: Sunday Morning QB ---
I do not doubt that there was some internal pressure from Beasley . Not that Satterfield was ever going to get fired. But some of his staff would have been let go. People just need to be happy that we are winning and competing against some very quality teams. Both sides are being ridiculous. The sa...

Re: Black and Blue Bowl?
Why not play at USC? They have no more home games there until next year. That is exactly the midway point from Boone to Statesboro.

Re: Sunday Morning QB ---
I will admit I was very frustrated after the Liberty game and pondered if the coaching staff would get it together or not. Does that make me a bad fan? I do not believe so. At the time change was needed and the coaching staff has acknowledged that they changed their defensive philosophy after the Li...

Colorado State or Marshall. However Colorado State may be blocked out of their conference championship game due to their loss against Boise.BTK2000 wrote:With ECU now definitively out of the running (due to their loss tonight) for the single G5 slot who do you think will get it. I say its CO State.

Re: Apologies now being accepted!
The only thing you can blame Satt for in the Liberty game is not putting the ball on the hash Bentley prefers. If you all have a few minutes listen to his postgame conference. Sure sounds like a coach who is maturing.

Re: Sunday Morning QB
Another thought on our defense. We have only allowed two TD drives of 70+ yards since the Liberty game. 14 of the points they gave up on Saturday were on drives of 12 & 35 yards. All in all, the defense is vastly improved. Woody's increased blitzing has made a difference and caused numerous throw a...

If we are going to put a guy back there with good hands only, put Simms McElfresh back there. If not give Isaiah Lewis a run at PR.

Re: Best win since 2009 ?
It was a huge win for Scott and the kids. Really needed a close win that they had to gut out. Over the past 2 years we had not won a game decided by 10 or less. However, before Saturday, we had lost several close games. I thought it was the biggest win since 2009 vs. Richmond, the only other one tha...

Re: [New Article]Official Ouachita Parish prediction thread
It will be truly embarrassing if the Rock isn't packed out tomorrow. The weather is going to be perfect, highs in the low 50s. Get up the mountain and support your team. These guys need every fan they can get. It will be their biggest game to date this season. Let's make this a winning streak!!!!! A...

Re: App vs LMC
I was at the game tonight and I thought it was a much better product to watch than the past few years. Coach Fox is miles better than Capel. He admitted afterwards that they have a long way to go. He was at the Tapp Room afterwards having a beer and talking with fans. It may not be pretty this year ...

Re: Adjustments...New scheme?
Monroe played very well at A&M yesterday. However, they have struggled all year long with moving the ball and scoring points. Their defense will be one of the best we will face all season. Against Wake they only had one offensive touchdown. In a few other games they were scoreless at half time. App ...

Re: WINTER STORM WARNING HAS BEEN ISSUED
not a good game to have recruits in the stands, alot of fans have already made up their minds not to attend regardless how the weather turns out. We are kinda in "dam if we do, dam if we don't situation", if the weather is as bad as predicted, the recruits might give us a pass on low attendance, bu...

Re: P5 playing at G5
I think Missouri played at Toledo because Gary Pinkell used to coach there. I could be wrong though. Troy has hosted a fair share of P5 squads, they are most similar to us. Play in similar sized stadium early in FBS years, not close to any major metropolitan area, and not the most fertile recruiting...

Re: WINTER STORM WARNING HAS BEEN ISSUED
I can't imagine how small tomorrow's crowd will be. I honestly don't think the weather will be close to as bad as many are making it out to be.

Re: [New Article]Official Red Wave prediction thread
Has there been any significant movement as far as upper classmen losing playing time to the younger guys? If this is the case are we seeing better play from the younger guys? Definitely better line play, QB sacks and two PICS from a freshman. Imagine how well we do by eliminating stupid personal fo...
