Re: Drink interviews w/ Ark
For some reason I didnt think this was allowed. I remember hearing satt did not (directly at least) speak to Loserville until after the game. I agree that this would not be cool. I remember Satts buyout was smaller if he got permission from DG to talk to another school which he did. Anyone know if ...

Re: Drink Interviews Update
So earlier today Wash. St. extended Leach which effectively takes him out of the running for Ark. Kiffin has made it known that Ole Miss is his preferred destination, Norvell allegedly has a handshake agreement with FSU. With all that being said the only person left out of the initial four intervie...

Re: Drink interviews w/ Ark
Saw this on Arkansas thread, and also heard from a reliable source that Drink had a face to face interview with Ark. AD. Just posting the info and screen shot. This is a plane track from Ark. to North Wilkesboro (Drink) to Boca (Kiffin) and Idaho (Leech). Just thought I would share. I don't care if...

Re: APP -3.5
Many out there will know better than I, but I think that this simply means that the early money is in favor of the Apps to cover, not necessarily that they think that 3-1/2 was light. Corrections are appreciated.

Re: Let’s Try to Be.....
Chris McLain is a really good dude, and when he wants to, he is good at talking any sport. Problem is, he has become too much of a Charlottean and has become a typical Charlotte sports fan who only knows Carolina BBall, Duke BBall, Panthers and Hornets. I've been fighting with him for years to give...

Re: Black Thursday “Beat the stink” Sign ideas
Call me a stick in the mud but I wouldn't use signs that point to one individual player. Team as a whole sure! Just my opinion. Let me hear your ideas AppNC. Don't have any specifically but as a parent of a player I would probably be offended if I saw a sign that referenced my son. I remember going...

Re: SC game - Marching Mountaineers
I was at Columbia for the Apps game in the late 70s. You could hear the BoD approaching from a mile away! It sounded like a Roman legion was preparing to invade. It got even better when they entered the stadium. Then, sadly, the game had to begin. Send the whole band!

Re: Top 25 Watch (real thread)
Is it unrealistic that we would move up conferences in the near future if we maintain this level? Not unrealistic. Football is where the money is, and if we can add some cache to a conference in football, they'll be interested. What would help a lot is if our basketball program can turn it around. ...

Re: App vs S Alabama Post Game Thoughts
Did I really just hear this!?!? Watching ABC (ESPN) ND vs U of M half-time report. They get to App St vs USA highlights and said this of App St: “Making a push in that Double A C. I just want to see these guys play Memphis. I want to see them against SMU. Who’s really going to run the table in the A...

Re: Georgia Southern Weather
Classic trap game coming up...rivalry leading into an even bigger game! I don’t know what NCAA regs allow, but I would hope that we could get at least a couple of evening, cool weather workouts in next week. I know that Coach Drink is huge on maintaining routine, but we should take advantage of anyt...

Re: Delicate Subject: Does anyone leave early afther this Season
Evans isn't an NFL running back. He isn't a receiver unless someone wants to take time to develop him or find a place for his speed. Our best pro prospect is Gaither-Davis, but he is a senior. Most likely, anyone on this board is more qualified than I to be an NFL scout, but I have to, respectively...

Re: Coach Drink follows Lombardi philosophy!
I don’t know, but I have a feeling that if you were to go to Coach Drink’s home and go into his office you would see two full walls with floor to ceiling shelves. On these shelves would be one large family Bible, one small travel Bible, at least 20 books by and about football coaches and every motiv...
