Re: Georgia State QB
I feel extremely bad for this kid for his football career AND life. That being said, I would be very cautious about jumping to conclusions too quickly that all of this is solely or partially due to his COVID situation. There are too many facets of entities and people that have agendas and interests ...

Re: Fall athletes extra year
I would say, if the student decides to play they should consume their year but if they decide not to play as they are concerned about health conditions that should be respected and they get to keep their year of eligibility. That would be a fair compromise. It sounds good to just give everybody an e...

She should be the first Chancellor to have all the students take Hydroxychloroquine as a prophylactic and likely avoid a big outbreak. That would show some kahonas as a strong leader and set her apart from the crowd.

In the NBA, the ownership and exec management are huge factors in the success of the program regardless of who is coaching.

Re: Doug Gillin
I had to add my two cents when I read this heading and initial "question". I feel very fortunate for App, at the level we are at in overall college football pecking order, to have a guy that seems to be making all the right moves. It is very difficult for any program to get a really good guy as AD, ...

The mountaineers and the Irish would make for some prime time fun. Who on this board would travel to see that game (assuming we could get all the tickets we could consume) and not be afraid of the COVID monster?
I would do that one.
I would do that one.

Re: ESPN plot
I think this whole business of no/limited fans at games is a big ESPN plot to get 100’s of thousands of fans to pay or pay more to see their teams play on ESPN 3 or other pay per view means. I received an email from ESPN+ a few days ago about how the subscription price was going up from $4.99 to $5...

Re: App State Begins 2020 Ranked #35 in Coaches Poll
Disappointing and actually surprising to me. Thought we'd be right around the edge of the top 25. Army finished 2018 ranked 19/20 and started last year with over 90 points in each poll; figured we'd at least get that level of respect considering we've been much more consistently good than they have...

Re: Sunbelt Decision on season
I figured the G5 conferences will take what they can get and not put restrictions on their schools scheduling. It will be tough for some teams to get replacements for all OOC games. Certainly at the level of OOC competition that they previously had. However, it may allow for some G5 to G5 scheduling...

Re: SEC to play 10 game conf schedule - No OOC
From what I could tell, the rationale behind the plus one was for many ACC/SEC in state rival games to be allowed (i.e. UGA/GT, Florida/Florida State, etc.).

That may open a door or two for App in ACC, hopefully.

Re: ACC announces 10 game conference schedule with one game allowed out of conference
If Wake doesn’t play us this year it is because less money (attendance restrictions) and/or they want an easier opponent this year. If they are serious about winning ACC and a shot at CFP they need us on their schedule.

Wake may try to defer App game because it is too tough per this article.

Re: ACC announces 10 game conference schedule with one game allowed out of conference
Wake has App, ODU and Villanova as OOC so they keep App. NC State would have had all 4 OOC against out of state teams. They would have played Troy on Sept. 19 which is when our Wisconsin game got cancelled. That would be an immediate fit for both. Duke has Charlotte on their schedule so they will pr...

Maybe we can pick up another ACC opponent (or 3) in addition to Wake. We have 3 possibilities, UNC, Duke and State.
