Apps picked to finish last in SBC
I guess no big surprise and its not like we edged someone out for the honor.

The positive take away is that the expectations are so low that anything other than last would be a step in the right direction.

FWIW, they have been dominating most everyone lately.Saint3333 wrote:We don't match up well with teams that have quality post play ULL will dominate us.

Re: MBB: ASU 6-14 (4-5 Sun Belt) @ S.A'bama 8-12 (3-6 Sun Belt)
In addition to an off night shooting-wise, we appear to have given up too many easy buckets in the lane. They had a huge advantage in points in the paint. Of course, when you shoot poorly, you give the opposition opportunities for fast break points. We had been playing decent defense lately but last...

Burgess found his shot tonight unfortunately he was by himself.
Never in my wildest dreams did I think we would lose if we had less than 10 turnovers.

This one is over. With a win we would have been a game out of third. Instead with Ga Southern's win v. ASU, we will be tied for 7th with them and USA. Still only be 2 games out of third, but we need to win these games.

Re: MBB: ASU 6-14 (4-5 Sun Belt) @ S.A'bama 8-12 (3-6 Sun Belt)
This was the stretch of games that would have allowed us to move up in the standings. We played three games this week against teams below us in the standings. If we lose tonight, we will have gone 1-2 in those games.

2-19 from 3...only 5 TOs but doesn't matter when you shoot like we are tonight.

39-32...We have 2 points 7 minutes.
Long way from over but this is poor from us.
Now 18-2 run for USA.

Re: MBB v. Troy
I think "the right call" comes down to time and place. The decision to not foul on Monday felt like the right call. GaSo was forced into a low-percentage shot that miraculously went in and was unjustly rewarded with a foul. Last night, with Monday fresh, fouling is the right choice. You can make th...

Re: MBB v. Troy
I just watched UR fail to foul with a 3 point lead and GW hit a 3 pointer with .8 on the clock to send it to OT. Can we just admit that the decision not to foul on Monday, while it didn't work, was the right call? How many times is someone going to hit an off-balanced 40-footer? Not to mention have...

MBB v. Troy
Eaves and Shabbaz score 66 v. Southern, have 9 tonight with 13 to go, down 47-46 to last place Troy. 15 turnovers is keeping Troy in the game.
We are shooting 50% from the field, 60% from 3 and winning rebound battle but can't hold on to the ball.

Re: GA Su@App-watch last 5 sec
Well, in the fouling scenario they would have intentionally tried to miss the second one in hopes of getting the rebound and putting in the tying bucket. I do like how Wisconsin handled it last night versus Indiana. Same basic situation. They called a timeout after the made free throws and set up th...
