Re: EXPANDING STADIUM TO 40k CAPACITY
Of course, indoor tracks are usually not permanent in such facilities. Generally, would be used when football is not likely using the entire space. And that is the thing. To be of real use, it would need to be in place from Nov - Feb when the indoor season is going on to be of use. With a "portable...

Re: Duncan and Legends Parking Gone
Actually, Duncan has nothing to do with the creek (at least for now).
Duncan Hall will be fully gutted next year and renovated.
Peacock's addition will likely begin in Fall 23 as well.
At least part of Duncan lot will be taken for staging of materials and equipment for these projects.

Re: EXPANDING STADIUM TO 40k CAPACITY
What I said was if the athletic department feels like they need this to compete then I want them to have it. But I questioned what a 100 yd IPF accomplishes that a 75yd IPF doesn’t, especially considering Shawn Clark’s preference to practice outside whenever possible. It’ll obviously be different c...

Re: EXPANDING STADIUM TO 40k CAPACITY
Our next major project will be to enlarge the Sofield Center. After that comes the stands on the east side. I don’t believe any money has been officially earmarked for either project. I've heard this mentioned before. I don't understand how disassembling that building and moving it somewhere else w...

153 days til we burst their bubble and ruin their football season. Gone With The Wind was playing in theaters the last time the Heels beat App in football. In Feb of 2022? Or 4/21/22? https://allevents.in/greeneville/gone-with-the-wind/200022140377322 It is the 50th and it is making the rounds in t...

Re: New 600 car Holmes Deck
With the Quinn being taken for B/VBall practice, the hope is that will open some more dates for the Holmes Center to run profit-events more often. The main things that have stopped them in the past is the amount of dates taken by athletics and the parking situation. With the Quinn and the deck, it ...

Re: App Professor just wants to be paid as much as a Dominos driver
Try being a staff employee at App and usually getting have the raise that teachers (Elem & Univ) have as often without as many optional raises available. This is one of the few times that all of the employees get raises at the same rate at the same time. I feel sorry for those that can't pick up ano...

Re: KBS Expansion?
Personally, I think we should forget about expansion until we find the money to create or finish the 105 track facility and find the money to field a Men's Soccer Team and also find away to make the soccer/track facility easily accessibel 105 is a nightmare to get on and off it. I don't expect anyo...

Re: MBB vs William Peace, Monday 6:30
I wonder if Varsity is full of asbestos and that's why no renovation? Asbestos abatement isn't that expensive. I think that golf also uses the building and has simulator in bowls??? I thought the ceiling was asbestos covered. The main gym ceiling was asbestos but that was redone in the 90's? There ...

Re: MBB vs William Peace, Monday 6:30
It can't be due to the flooding issues. If it was torn down, you might get a building half that size. Is it a flood plain? Yes. But have you ever seen how they build houses at the beach? There are about 4-5 sump pumps that run constantly to keep water out of the building. Floods at least once a yea...

Re: MBB vs William Peace, Monday 6:30
Y’all either don’t know or keep forgetting the campus attitude at the time, Holmes was never built for basketball- bb was an afterthought. How long did it take to move bb offices there? As soon as they were ready. In December of the same year as the first game. The class space was opened after the ...

Re: MBB vs William Peace, Monday 6:30
Definitely is a sad excuse. But I believe that it is a real factor. Weeknight games at a football university with mediocre teams is only going to draw attendance by hardcore basketball fans. Fortunately if you're walking right past the entrance way to the basketball arena and you pop in there for a...

Re: SoMiss/ODU/Marsh/JMU announcements
So, Karl Benson laid the foundation for where we are today but it seems Commissioner Gill handled this re-alignment situation expertly. Well done Mr. Benson and Mr. Gill... I’m definitely no Gill fan, but he seems to have done this right. Now whether he just Charlie Cobb’d into one hell of a situat...

SBC Hoops: We should instantly make our basketball schedule a round robin...and I mean for the whole conference. Find the money to make the travel for basketball. 14 teams equals 26 game schedule. I truly think it would be the best for SBC Basketball. App can't seem to get anyone to agree to play i...
