Re: High Country Activities
glad the 8 year old will get Tweetsie. That is getting close to the upper limit of that magical age that can really enjoy it (until you become an old man and just want to go for the train ride.) My oldest was just about a year or two removed and though she had fun it was not the same as the fun the ...

Re: Penn State write-up at SBNation
We need to play a near perfect game and hope for a few things to fall our way but this game is certainly winnable. And by near perfect-turnovers that fabor us and few penalties and certainly none that turn 4th downs into 1st downs. That is doable for us. Make FGs also. Win or lose I do want to leave...

Re: High Country Activities
The park in downtown Blowing Rock has a nice play area for the boys. Small climbing wall for kids used to be there and I assume still is there. The old Cone manor on the parkway is getting a painting and such that may be ongoing. I stopped by there after spring commencement. I would like to think an...

I am über curious how they picked us out. I really appreciate the diæresis mark over the u in uber. I always called it an umlaut. I can be an umlaut but that word does not contain the ae merged into one character- ligature called ash. I was tossing back another non standard English character.

Re: Hargrave nominated for NCAA woman of the year award
I was going to ask what HS she attended myself? I left Eastern Guilford 3 years ago but she would have been the same age as my daughter that just graduated from App. I would have been at Eastern when she was a senior I think but did not remember her name, so I was figuring she attended NE Guilford H...

Hargrave nominated for NCAA woman of the year award
Found this on a few sites. I'll give a little love to a small town media outlet for the link

Re: Jerry Moore given highest NC civilian honor
Someone mentioned Star Trek and the juxaposition of JM to ST characteters is rather of low importance yet I make it seem to be a big deal. Whereas the GAS is a big deal on this board as it should be to start the fall sports season.
Humor of the absurd I guess.

Natty, my question is ... how did you find this? Women's Wear Daily is not on my normal list of online sites I visit. Not judging, just curious.

Marshall had 3 wins I think the year UNCC beat them at Marshall. Not sure about USM.
Has UNCC beat anyone with a winning record since moving to FBS?

Re: Well she did it.
I think I first posted about her just before her senior year in high school asking for advice on how to deal with admissions. She ended up graduating with honors I just found out but she did not present herself with a great SAT (she is a hard worker) and got some advice from this board. And to be ho...

Re: UNCC - 6:00pm
High Point got its name from being the highest point on the North Carolina railroad that runs between Morehead City and Charlotte. (At the time Goldsboro to Charlotte). Then as a New Deal project the tracks were lowered which is why High Point has the tracks in a ditch now and one has to walk down a...

Well she did it.
My daughter walked in the spring commencement but had to take one course in the 1st summer session. She just sent a text that she passed the course and is now 100% done with her degree.
That was a quick 4 years.

Re: Jerry Moore given highest NC civilian honor
As he should. Coach Moore represents the highest form of what a human being should be. You make him sound like something from a Star Trek episode! http://memory-alpha.wikia.com/wiki/Powerful_and_godlike_beings Sorry GAS, but Screw the your countdown ;) , we need to spend the summer going through th...
