Re: 321 and 105 Closures until at least Sunday

Another way from Linville Take 105N to Shulls Mill Road, it should be open there, not sure though. Take Shulls Mill Road toward Blowing Rock (it's curvy). Exit Blue Ridge Parkway, north. Exit Bamboo Road to Boone. Just off the top of my head. There are other ways from Shulls Mill Road too. Foscoe h...

Presser for Coach Sharp. https://www.youtube.com/live/Kjd8-VHFUxU?si=-YrWZUq8RDUXPXE7 I enjoyed talking with her on the tour stop. She is committed to winning both on and off the court. Winning championships and a world class education...all while living in heaven on earth...could not resist 😂😂 Hop...

You can get to the coast from Boone faster than getting from Linville to Boone 😂😂😂

Re: Portal season (Abson, Spillers, etc)

Many here donate to MAF, 3333 & TIGMA, so thanks to all who support our players & programs . But how many of our “rabid fans” spend $50-$75/week on coffee, but cry poverty when it comes to helping App maintain our winning momentum? If someone is spending that much just on coffee for themselves when...

Re: Second ever App state game

Hebron Rock Colony is also a good place to visit. Easy hike for most part until you get down near river. Once you get to rock formations, you can hop from boulder to boulder. I haven't been in years so I can't confirm, but I have been told Hebron is gone. It was apparently always private property a...

Re: Second ever App state game

Agree with these. If you want a short hike to get a great view of the sunrise. Hard to beat Beacon Heights..off the parkway.. For a less than hour hike ...Rough Ridge..off the parkway Hit Beacon Heights for sunrise, then on way back towards Boone on the parkway, stop at Rough Ridge parking. For the ...

Re: Portal season (Abson, Spillers, etc)

100%. This is why I won't waste a penny on "NIL" because it just can't sustain. As soon as these power schools start to suffer in raising money for needed facilities, coaching salaries, etc they will wake up and demand change. I'd wager you are wrong. That this current system can't sustain or that ...

Re: 2024 Baseball Mega Thread

We are playing in the 4th best conference in baseball with one hand tied behind our back. Call it “loser’s mentality” if you must but we have a lot of real life obstacles that we have to deal with that other schools in our conference and region that don’t. Correct. When I was in undergrad at U-Dub,...

Re: Angel steps down as WBB coach

I’ll just put it all out there. YOLO Marshall WBB went and spent 60k for two recruits through NIL. That’s 30k a pop. That’s the going rate. (Janay Sanders got 25k to go to Minnesota.) The Marshall AD rolled out the red carpet for her and prioritized WBB. Caldwell’s husband was given a job on the me...

Re: 2024 Baseball Mega Thread

I feel like Coach Smith is a good coach. Pitching is an area that I am sure he is focused. Getting good pitching, in the nil era, probably means paying up...so we need an nil sponsor to step up. Will we have some develop, sure...but, probably need transfers (several of them) year in and year out. Ho...

Re: March Madness

I have no lost love for nc state. I enjoyed every moment of them losing on national tv. Their fan base is honestly the worst in NC when it comes to arrogance with nothing to back it. My hot take is they are a mid major program masquerading as P4 and need to get over themselves Ehh, no reason to be ...
