Re: Fall camp
The excuse train for stupid 3rd and 4th calls with injuries or whatever continues. Can’t wait to get over these tracks. So much data out there to refute these excuses too. Bottom line, on a down to down basis App was a top 30 offense in the country. It was those 3rd and 4th and short failures that ...

Re: Construction updates on campus, other info.
Close to 300 million in construction on campus over the next 5 years. Be interesting to see what numbers we have for whatever admin comes in next. This also doesn't include how much will be spent yearly in maintenance and upkeep. Looks good for now, but in 10 years, will be pretty interesting times...

Re: 23-24 Schedule
Given Corvallis, I am sure OSU struggles to a certain degree getting OOC games at home. Given P5, not as difficult as App. Buy sure it is not easy. This might be Oregon State's last year in a power conference. Agreed. They just completed a large renovation to the football stadium..that is going to ...

Another bomb and a diving catch in the left center gap for Tolley last night. Can’t wait to see this kid in the black and gold.

Re: 2024 Baseball Mega Thread
Banks Tolley, Ole miss transfer signed with App. Good speed and defense. Has hit for pop in a tough summer league. Maybe everyday at bats or competing for time will be good for him. From what I could tell he was pretty impressive in his summer league stint. Looking forward to seeing how everything ...

Re: EXPANDING STADIUM TO 40k CAPACITY
I keep seeing comments about the current economic conditions. I’m taking that to mean interest rates? If so, the fed fund rate is what, 5.25%? That’s still a pretty historically low rate outside of a few years in the early 90s and 2000s, and of course the zero interest rate era following ’08. Are w...

Re: Article saying NIL is only one issue facing NCAA
LAS VEGAS — On Thursday afternoon in Nashville, an exceptionally tan Lane Kiffin took to the stage at SEC Media Days and did what Nick Saban and Kirby Smart usually refuse to do: he unleashed the flamethrower, calling the current state of NIL and the transfer portal in college football “a disaster....

Re: EXPANDING STADIUM TO 40k CAPACITY
They definitely have secured funding. Then why start the project in twoish years? Because there are other priorities right now that need to be completed ahead of time. The university doesn't do projects one at a time? If there was money secured for the East side, it wouldn't matter what else was go...

Re: Stadium experience Director
Off the top of my head I know that both Oregon State and Vandy have completely demo’d a side of their stadium and are rebuilding. Is available money for the rebuild the only thing stopping App from doing the same?

Re: Biff Poggi and his UNCC 49ers
The incoming AAC members are getting a half share of the tv revenue as a concession for expanding the conference. All those new members signed up to be a step sister up front. Why are they acting surprised now. A half share and they’re expected to generate ~$12M additional dollars to keep up with t...

Re: Early, but let's do it now
We will see the turn for the better this season with 2024 being the return to prominence. Thing is, if Clark loses one game, the negative nancys on here will want his head on a spike in front of KBS. If we start 1-3, will you blame Drink. That's all I want to know. Depends what the issues are causi...

Re: Early, but let's do it now
Some of the "well actually" stuff posted on this message board after problems/losses literally sounded like stuff a coaching staff would say. I've seen it before with different programs when I would call out things going bad. And it's natural. Coaches want to remain coaches (same with trainers, sta...

Re: Early, but let's do it now
To put it quite simply. Moore set Satterfield up for success by creating the culture. Satterfield set up Drinkwitz to win games to get a better job. Drinkwitz did not pay it forward. Yeah, no. A guy who was on campus 11 months in 2019 has 0 to do with what went on in 2022 and what’s going on in 202...

Re: Early, but let's do it now
So how many games in before we start hearing from the "fire the coach" crowd again? IMO, he won the offseason again which quieted things down for now. But I'm already sniffing it in this thread. I’m with you that there’s a crowd that exists in college athletics where the hyperbole about firing the ...

Re: Early, but let's do it now
If we have indeed fallen to the point that we can't even realistically talk about winning the division, then it's probably going to get a lot worse before it gets better. I think we need, at minimum, 8-4 and a bowl win. Anything less than that might not be good enough. Exactly. Whether we'll win th...

Re: Another Portal Loss
I’m not looking to get in a fight with anybody about this, just throwing out some ideas for conversation. Pro sports leagues have regulated players and how they move from team to team. They do this because they realize it’s necessary for the survival of the leagues. Surely the NCAA and ESPN will co...
