Re: Best Frontcourt

I did not know about Junior and Marbury. Billy Ross was a very good and just tough as nails player in his day . Beat Davidson almost single handed on more than one occasion. DJ Thompson might be my overall guard pick though.

Re: Mount Rushmore- Howard's Knob

It’s funny how you forget things then someone mentions it and you think “ ohhhh yeah”. Those guys were incredible. A couple were world class athletes. With names hard to spell…

Re: Best Frontcourt

Kellen Brand and Donald Sims are the closest comparison on offensive lethality. Brand was a hustler. Junior Braswell was a baller. The team around him wasn't great, but he had great skill at the guard position. He could take over a game , and did on many occasions. Smooth and deadly from anywhere o...

We had a decent starting frontcourt during the Cremins era. Calvin Bowser and Mel Hubbard come to mind. He didn't have the depth we have now for sure.
And Tony Searcy. May have led the nation in rebounding maybe ‘78. Bowser was gone by then but Mel , the SoCon high jump champion was around.

I expected there to be a little of a let down after Saturday but played well enough to get the win. Good coaching. Made key stops. Got it done.

Re: Sun Belt coaching carousel

Perhaps promoting Major Applewhite might help them hold things together. Given this point on the calendar it might be their best option.

I have no issue with whatever terminology someone chooses. In any event, thinking back to last season certain kids and perhaps even moreso their parents became a significant distraction . Those kids and their parents “are no longer with the team “. The maturity level of our current roster impresses ...

Re: App 44, Duke 0

Watched portions of a swimming and diving meet hosted by Jay Mu this weekend. Decent facility and frankly much better athletes than I expected. Back in the day we had a competitive squad at App.

Re: at Wake Forest

Weren’t we historically some of their largest crowds? At least up until the time they stopped scheduling us?
