Re: Old man "get on my lawn rant"-South Alabama

We were walking through the tunnel and some kid shotgunned a beer in front of us. He just threw his can down on the ground. I picked It up and said hey you left your beer can. He turned around and I threw It back to him. He carried it up the hill to the duck pond. Sometimes they just need to be remi...

Re: NO SOUVENIR CUPS & ICE

The food offerings at UNCC was more like a pro sports team concession stand. They had baskets and real food. Ours resembles a high school. Plain hotdogs and nachos.

Re: New campus housing project moving forward

I lived in Gardner and Bowie and my wife lived in Eggers. We wont have anything left when we come back. Both Bowie and Gardner were old when I was there over 25 years ago. I guess progress comes at the expense of memories.

Re: Light Rail to UNCC

Most of the crime at the transit center involves G4S Special police beating poor people up and charging them with resisting a police officer. Otherwise just a few open containers and failure to pay fairs. https://www.wcnc.com/amp/article?section=news&headline=violent-crime-on-the-rise-near-the-tran...

Re: Light Rail to UNCC

Here is one study though not conclusive suggests public transit did not have an effect on crime rates. https://sites.duke.edu/urbaneconomics/?p=1215 There are some other studies online but that is all I have time for at the present. Other studies may tell a different story. Yeah there’s absolutely ...

Re: Light Rail to UNCC

This reminds me of the Nextdoor posts in my neighborhood. Scary brown people, aahhh!!! If you were replying to me I never mentioned color you did. You always throw off on UNCC but never hesitate to comment on every UNCC thread. I would also know a little about the crime in the area. I guess we all ...

Re: Light Rail to UNCC

I have to ride the new line periodically now. Students don’t have to buy a ticket it’s part of their tuition now. What I see happening is groups of criminals riding the train up to campus and then committing crime on campus. I hope I am wrong.

Re: Major Announcement Tomorrow

It is already a pain in the butt watching games on ESPN3 with announcers who dont know what teams they are covering, and weird camera angles. Now they expect us to pay for that same terrible coverage? It might be a good deal for the schools but it is screwing the fans.

Military Bowl

I’m watching the Military Bowl. Navy is embarrassing Virginia. The announcers just said Navy has more touchdowns than Virginia has first downs. Virginia football has really dropped off.

I vote either flory or fuller
It was a toss up for me between the two. But that interception was huge.

Re: TIGMA Award - I can't decide

My vote is Flory. He played like a madman. His interception was a huge momentum swing. He about killed the back on that pass in the second half.
